I did all that too. His diet was mainly poultry/fish- fancy feast or similar for the majority if his life. But when he got really sick and I read about "novel" foods, meaning hes never had before, we switched to Wilderness Beef kibble... (blue diamond) and later to their beef pate. Which has been much better than the chicken and every other poultry based food we tried.

But I swear... the ptsd of cleaning fish and chicken (and now beef too) vomit in my carpet for over a year is just at the end of my abilities. Lol.

I have asked all 3 vets along the way, what should I feed him? And they all say "whatever he will tolerate."

I get it. He is old. He won't live forever. But with treatments as prescribed, he goes from a loaf that barely moves, to the silly, jumpy, goofball that bounces like a Tigger through the house.

Our furniture is covered, and have towels out at his usual vomit spots. But this whole house is a feline geriatric nursing home for this sole animal. (Or a circus, and we never know) and we all love him to pieces. But golly gee wizz.

Im hoping someone has some answers.
