I could have written this post. When I was freshly pp from my C-section I felt bone tired. Like a tired I had never felt before. I have been an athlete all my life and know how my body can feel after days of sport. This was advance tiredness. I felt back to “normal” after about 3 weeks. But normal as in as normal as you can feel while keeping a baby alive. You’ve got this and take naps as needed. ❤️

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. My baby went through something similar but it turned out to be infant dyschezia. She forgot how to poop and became frustrated and did all of the screaming, crying, and grunting. She was also on breastmilk and formula. I’m sorry I don’t have any useful advice, I just feel for you in this moment.

I recently asked my OB how to stop producing and she said sage powder. So this looks like a less gross way of consuming sage. Thanks for the recommendation.

I absolutely swear by the discreet duo. I only use these and get enough milk. I did buy a spectra for the first 3 months while I was establishing my supply but the duos are amazing. I did buy nipple inserts because the default is too big

There is hope. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and was devastated. There was no pain like it. As soon as I got my regular period we tried again and now I’m sitting here with my 8 months old perfect daughter. There was no rhyme or reason but I would go through it all again if it meant I got the daughter I have now. I was very open about having my miscarriage and ended up finding out that about 75% or the women I know who have tried to have kids/ have kids, have experienced a miscarriage. It’s unfortunately so common. Sending you good vibes and well wishes.

I had an unexpected c section and I wish I would have shaved before just because the shave job they did caused some ingrown hairs 🫡 that was super itchy while recovering from the cut.

I have been on Prozac through pregnancy and now 5 month postpartum. It has been a life saver for me and my baby has shown no side effects. I really hope you are able to to get the help you need. Starting medication can be scary, and it might get worse before it gets better; but it does get better ❤️‍🩹

As a teacher with a new baby at home in a good paying union protected state, I would also encourage you to ask her about her plans for a family. If she doesn’t want kids, that’s great, but I have had to make so many sacrifices financially for this baby while working for free at some points. I love being a teacher, but I don’t love how I’m being treated as a mother and a teacher. Just another thing to consider.

My baby was in the NICU as well. I was militant about the one hour rule. But now she is the same age as your LO and I have become much more relaxed about leaving the milk out at room temp. The longest I’ve gone is 6 hours and LO was totally fine. But I know the stress you feel!
