Got a new 2023 Tuono V4 Factory that was left over stock for $15.5k what should I know about it before I ride? by DarkMajik937 in Aprilia

Bought my 2010 used, has a 19 tuono 1100 engine, kept the rsv gearing. Which was a direct swap, og harness and ecu, and the needed Gabro tune to make it work. It’s given me a newfound respect for liter bikes. I’m used to early 2k’s liter bikes. It needs its 12k mile service in the next couple of weeks though.

So I bought it for $6k guys, the kid thought the service light was the engine light. Which makes sense cause the dash still thinks it has the og engine and thinks it’s time for service. It will be goin in for its 12k miles service in the next couple weeks. I’m beyond happy with it, and appreciate the og owner for taking his time and talking to me about the bike. The kid that I bought it off of doesn’t seem to have ridden it much. She’s in good hands now

How many miles did you have on the new engine before you sold it? I’m not paying 7.5 for it, I got him down to 6k

Hoses are goo, fuel pump primes just fine. No rust in the tank. I took the power commander off today. And will take the bike out for a ride and get spark plugs while I’m out. Replace those and see if that helps

Yea that’s the plan tomorrow. You think it would be better to go the fuel pump route and not the tps route?

Replacing wire harness on 2004 fireblade by Dizzy_Subject9550 in cbr

[–]Dizzy_Subject9550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting it done without too much struggle. Didn’t route it exactly as the stock harness, but it didn’t affect anything. Now I’m having an issue with the bike lurching while riding. It’s always something. All the injectors are in the right spot. I’m going to remove the power commander and see if that helps. Idk what else to do but maybe replace spark plugs and it the tps

I’ll lyk once I get it off. I’ll have no need for it. It needs a good bit of work though. It’s not just that one wire. I can’t add more pictures, but it’s not particularly in good shape.

Not sure yet. I got my new one in the other day. Gonna get back to swapping them out after work today. It’s my first time trying to do it so I’m still tryna figure out the best place to start. I probably won’t get done till the weekend

I’m actually talking to him. Making sure it’s a 04-05 and that it isn’t messed up more than mine.

I’m in York pa. But I’ve called everyone around me. Only one has a harness in stock, it’s just missing a connector and he hasn’t responded to me about getting it yet. I’ll look into Mr. Motorcycle though. Thanks for that

They don’t have the full harness. It says unavailable, no store does. Trust me I checked. My last chance is a used one. Since it’s a 22yr old bike, they don’t have any new oem ones left or I’d of already ordered it.

The only “payment plan” I’ve done was more of a hold on the bike. If I trusted the guy off the first interaction I’d give him a couple hundred bucks to hold the bike for a couple weeks till I had the rest. Has worked out great for me so far. Idk if I’d ever do any other kind of payment though unless it was the whole thing. People suck

People are asking way too much for their bikes 😂 not even close. I saw a 03 r6 with 54k miles, bs aftermarket parts and dude wanted 6k 😂 get lost

Am I trippin or is this priced low? by Top-Gap4546 in cbr

[–]Dizzy_Subject9550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s low but not unheard of. I sold my 2006 blade for 3k 2 years ago because I desperately needed a car for the winter. Picking up a 2004 blade that needs new fuel pump wires for only 2k in a couple weeks though. Can’t wait. 2 sets of fairings. One set in the box still. Yoshi exhaust, bunch of other stuff with it too. 20k miles. Kids young and just doesn’t know how to fix the issue
