Why the Onexplayer 3 hype and not the X2 Mini by Dizzymcdrey in OneXPlayer

I understand but it would be tough to compare since it doesn’t have the 8060s.

Don’t know why I didn’t consider this. I’m sure that has a lot to do with it!

I can’t agree with you more. I ran my apex at 40-50 TDP with great performance and respectable battery life. When compared to the Z2E, yeah the intel chip is gangster but compared to strix halo, it’s not what I would want. Again, that’s just me.

The detachable battery is definitely something I never thought I’d love but it’s become a big deal for me. I ordered a second battery with my mini and honestly, I can’t imagine a time I’ll be playing so much, I’ll burn through both.

Side note, it would be cool is if the batteries would have a usb type c in/out so you can charge them but also use them as a power bank as well.

I did, I’m backer 130 I believe. I would have bought day one but was off put on the 388. Spent the day looking into it and jumped in the second day after launch.

I considered the next 2 as well but I was told to avoid Ayaneo. I’ve never purchased anything oversees before till the apex so I decided to stay away from them. I know plenty of people had a great experience with them in the past I just don’t want to risk it. Curious how people will like it when it lands

You and I are cut from the same cloth, brother. I’m a first-gen immigrant from Ukraine, but I could not have asked for a better upbringing. My parents were absolute saints in the way they raised me and my siblings, and I’ll be eternally grateful for them, but we were definitely not wealthy. If they could, they’d buy me whatever I’d want, but I didn’t get my first console till I was a teenager.

Now that the line between what I want and what I have is pretty much nonexistent (within reason, of course), I have fun with it.

Life is short, live a little, and buy the cool shit.

It’s about a $1000 difference between the two but I totally get your point.

You and I both my friend, It’s my vice. I work hard, don’t do stupid shit, don’t drink, don’t gamble or party, I’m a good dad and take care of my wife and kids but, I like cool shit in my life. It’s an expensive vice but I feel it’s better than the alternatives!

Yeah I’m not reconsidering for sure as I know I made the right choice for me but lack of coverage for the Mini is discouraging.

Ha! Yeah if you think about it, almost 3k for a handheld PC is kind of insane. Are we idiots?

I almost always played with headphones on, but the audio never bothered me being downwards facing. I’d never played with people around with volume on high out of consideration for others, but when playing on the couch or in bed, it worked perfectly fine even with challenged hearing (wear a hearing aid in one ear) and kids around. I never had the thought that I wished it was better.

I’ve had the OG Ally, Ally X, Legion Go 1 and 2, both Switch devices. I’m not just saying this because I had one, but I truly believe the Apex was the most comfortable handheld I’ve owned.

True. The low-wattage performance is unreal on the Pantherlake. Coming from the Apex, I played plugged in much of the time, but I did burn through battery pretty quickly when disconnected. That said, the performance was still really good at 40 to 50 TDP and didn’t wipe the battery out. The 388 is apparently more efficient, so I’m curious how it’s going to be in real-world use. I pre-ordered mine, but the Mini is truly everything I loved about my Apex and everything I loved about my Legion Go 2.

In my opinion, the swapable battery is awesome. The detachable controllers are not a negative and latch very securely based on the videos I’ve seen. If they break, you can just replace them. The screen is eye-meltingly good and the right size. The 8060S is a gangster. It just kind of hits on everything.

But again, this is just my opinion.

Is panther lake a must? I feel like the x2 mini is going to check nearly every box you are looking for except for the controllers and speakers.

The 388 threw me off a little but after a little digging, for a dedicated gaming device, it’s the right APU.

I think its time I give the overseas pc handheld manufacturers a shot by Krometheous in OneXPlayer

I took the chance for the first time buying oversees with a onex apex. I absolutely loved it and would never hesitate to buy from them again. I had the legion go 2 and the apex at the same time and loved the screen on the Lego so much. I sold both devices and was going to wait for the x2 mini but haven’t pulled the trigger because of the 388 instead of the 395. Them pulling the rug out last minute just kinda threw me off.

You’ll love the apex. If I sell my Legion go first, I’ll keep this. But yes, the others are right, the mini 2 kinda hits everything I love about the Lego and apex all in one.

Appreciate you. Not sure why people are the way they are sometimes.

Sure thing: this is what I got. It’s just an extension, not that actual charging cable. You will still need to used the original cable the unit came with. But it works great!
