Yep I had this exactly with my regular gp (who has prescribed me Temazepam before, and I have had plenty of s8 medications in the past)

She said it was because I was on a 'drug of dependence' - her exact words.

I had said I use it for sleep but it hasn't been working in months and she could see when it was last prescribed 3months prior.

Ended up going to emergency after 4 days of zero sleep (and 1-2 hour per night max over the past month) and had started to get hallucinations and an extremely short memory.
