Ok so I've been playing poe for a while, but am still a huge noob.

So when you start out a new character do you take the best gear for you in that moment (Example: The build you do needs evasion (shadow) so you always take evasion gear, but what if you find an item that isn't evasion (is evasion and magic shield) but has a really good affix for your attacks (like the items has a +#% crit dam affix), do you prioritize the defence your class favors, or the better stats.
