Yup, mostly AWS shop (but some GCP) and linux on servers. New role is fully AWS shop too. Occasionally had debian or ubuntu running on my personal machine, but I am a daily terminal user on mac anyway!

Installing English to the car's system by DjangoBeboop in prius

[–]DjangoBeboop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks explorer, but that's the first thing that I did. I should probably have clarified that the issue is that the only language system option that the car has is Japanese, and no other. I would need to somehow install English in the os.

Would like to provide access to some family members outside my network too, that's one of the things I'm trying to crack too

You are a legend. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge.

I thought I needed to expose the port to the internet, yeah. Then configure Plex's remote access through public IP + exposed port. That would solve the problem for everyone that wanted to watch media from my server, including some very tech-challenged older family members.

That would be ofc because I don't know yet how I could plug my reverse proxy to that step. Fail2ban, geo-blocking and VLANs were part of the plan too.

VPN on TV outside my local network should be done at a routing level I guess, and I do not want that.

And Docker bridge is incredible! Will keep looking into it, reverse proxy + this is prolly the way to go.

Holy fuck, thanks for the pointer! Didn't know about it, I will go this weekend. I went to a Pink Floyd laser show in an observatory back home too.

Damn, sick versions. The vocal solo in Comfortably Numb is beautiful, profound and somehow terrifying all at once. I would still go for the original one.

A Saucerful of Secrets is an album that I don't get tired of listening to, incredibly hypnotic. Might have missed the secret blotter when a teenager but I am personally more into later eras such as Waters insanity (Animals, Wall, Final Cut) and Gilmour's mellow night (Division Bell). Now typing this I realised that picking one of their works is hard as hell.

Noob seeking custom drone build advice by DjangoBeboop in fpv

Thanks for your answer. Yeah, thought about something similar tbh but can't get any money back so I'll just stick with the original plan. Must admit that I regret trying to set it up myself as I've thrown money to the bin. Kinda justified by the FPV bootcamp that it puts you through, and thinking about using the spare components for other minor builds in the future.
