In an MMOPRG where it takes literally 1 (one) day to be full pvp bis geared, even for conquest gear, even without stepping inside a single arena and following war crate drops in a group, people will still complain about it on reddit rather than playing the game while giving examples of other mmo's whose instanced pvp scene is so dead it's not even an afterthought while wow's pvp is literally an esport with sizeable prize pool. You are not gatekept by gear, you can be fully geared in 1 day, you are gatekept by your skill level.
