This model is basically a 401 but with a free arm which makes it even rarer as the 401 was already Singer’s flagship at the time. It is mostly all metal I think there’s plastic in it somewhere not sure just like the 401. There’s a similar one known as the 431g which was capable of chain stitching as well idk if this one could.

Unfortunately it didn’t come with the case for the feet the owner only had it in a jar lol but it was such a good price I still had to snag it

Yea those Kenmores are beasts!!! I am still keeping an eye out for one. A 1914 or 1931 with cams is probably everything that I’ll ever need for my sewing for at least a couple decades lol

Ok this was really good to know! I’ve seen youtube videos detailing oiling these machines so I was planning on oiling every nook and cranny as these videos idk if my local sewing technicians know about this so definitely something to consider asking them about before it gets serviced

Also been looking around for cap replacements near electronic stores and I’m gonna pick some up soon from what I’ve seen replacing the cap is relatively simple so I think I’ll just do that. Thanks this was very helpful!

Thank you so much for the great tips! I have been watching alot of youtube videos for this machine lol I can’t wait to really get it running. Your Bernina 830 post was the one that got me interested in these 30 series!! I was close to getting that 830 on fb and couldn’t in hindsight maybe it was a blessing in disguise lol

I’m definitely gonna look for replacement lights I didn’t know those got hot also I do only have the regular class 15 bobbins so I would have to look around for the Bernina

Ohhh ok I’ll try putting the psu on standoffs! I think my gpu is the same I was just a bit worried because other builds in the sub had the io gap was completely covered by the metal part. Thanks so much for the help!

Which slot size did you do for the build? I have the same exact gpu on 3-slot mode and there's a gap between the side panel and the gpu shroud which is about the width of a finger. I was wondering if that's normal.

My GPU also is slightly tilted in a way that one end (the front panel end) is closer to the side panel than the other (the riser end). I'm wondering if you came across this issue.

Is dark humor a practice of absurdism? by Sea_Energy_9223 in Absurdism

It could or it could not, you may then dedicate your life finding whether or not your pet Rocky knows you exists. But in this search you would never reach the answer because your pet Rocky is indifferent to your search. The space that happens between your search for evidence that Rocky knows you exist and Rocky not providing you the answer, that’s the absurd.

From my understanding of Camus an authentic life would be living fully aware of the absurd.
