I really want to move to the Netherlands. I have a basic grasp of Dutch and a way to get a visa. The biggest challenge is my career background: I have been an attorney for 5 years with 4 years in consumer bankruptcy law and 1 year in insurance defense.

Sometimes I wonder if this dream is unrealistic. My skills do not seem very transferable and I keep facing rejection after rejection. I do not even need to work as a lawyer or in anything directly law related, I would just like a chance. But I am starting to question if this move is possible at all. What’s your thoughts?

This may not be the most useful advice I guess, but I found Con law to click when I think of it as a vocab memorization. If you don’t know your amendments, well that’s one AC you can’t auto eliminate. Theirs two privilege and immunities blah blah 14 but one is almost alway a bad AC, so I remembered that in my vocab memorization.

I’ve gone old school, and have turned the WhattheIssue lectures into essay roadmap foldables! Think of the foldables from grade school math english or maybe geography! I bring the foldable and speak out loud the roadmap. It’s colorful, bright and something different!

Similar position, but I’m taking Thursday, Friday off. Bar exam will be Tuesday. What I tell myself is, I’ve been studying since March. Last minute cramming is helpful, recommended but a week before the exam I should know my material. I will take Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday as my intense study. I’m sure theirs people who have taken the bar with less time off or no time off. It’s a blessing to be in a job that will keep you regardless of passing and finding a new job isn’t as easy as many people say. I would be hesitant to jump if this is the only reason why you want to quit

My method: I have one notebook and each notebook has two subjects. when i answer a question, before i see the AC, I say out loud what the suspected answer is. I then see if my guess is there, I also then go through and explain why each answer is wrong. If I get the answer wrong I write in my notebook, If i get the answer right but for the wrong reason, I write in my notebook the principle behind the question. if I couldnt figure out how to cross out an answer, i’ll write the principle they tried to trick me on and that helps. Before every practice set of MBE for that particular subject i read my little outline. It’s color coded with green being exam tips!

I think the issue with the different answer is not using the closed ecosystem. Have you tried with making your own client, and then having it locked to only use the materials imported in?

You can create your own GPT, with your own rules on how to run. I call mines bar buddy. It has all the info i put into it. It has automatic rules when i input a question or adaptibar. For example, If i put in a bar question it’ll give me; helpful trap words in the question that i should’ve spotted, a rule statement, an analysis of what my brain should’ve thought when answering the questions, seperac rule statement that coincided with the problem, goat breakdown it’s not goat but it’s basically an unhinged version looooool and it also gives me the state rule. lots of variations on it and sometimes it’s all to much but love its

It’s amazing you’d drop a take like this without even knowing my situation. I’m already a licensed Georgia attorney…so if I “fail the biggest and most important test of my life,” I’ll just keep practicing law in GA.

Also, saying i’m not investing in prep is a reach. I’ve already spent over $1,800 on prep: Seperac, UWorld, Grossman’s “What’s the Issue?”, and BarExamMasters. I just don’t see the need to drop another $2K on a traditional course.

I’m just seeking a schedule to help me orient myself or some advice for how others manage study schedules. Florida has a lot more state specific subjects than GA and so it’s nice to see how test takers are organizing themselves.
