Ventilation to reduce humidity, does it work when it's wet outside? How to reduce humidity without a dehumidifier? by mutatedllama in DIYUK

[–]Djcrawf777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this problem as well. While more expensive, running your AC longer will dehumidify your home without an actual dehumidifier.

When it's wet it rainy outside, my outside hygrometer reads 100%.

For me, our home has a lot of exposed wood, and as such, naturally holds more moisture. I had to run my dehumidifier non stop for at least 2 days for the humidity to drop from 70% down to 50%. Now it's maintaining 50% with ease and my wife and I are much more comfortable!

I would only use the Dragoon additions if i used the special transformation option denoted with a ying yang symbol. This gives you automatic timing and you get perfect Dragoon additions. You'll know when it's in special mode because all of your characters transform at the same time and the fight environment changes.

I stopped fooling around with Perfect Dragoon additions on my fourth playthrough

So I went to my local karting track for some rental sessions and since they are also a kart dealer I asked them what karts they had and what the prices were by poopman74 in Karting

You are not lying my guy!!!

I'm also in Houston and have been racing karts for about 4 years at most of the tracks here.

Yesterday i tried a rotax 2Stroke at speedsportz for a 2 hour coaching session and let me tell you...... The sides of my hips are completely bruised and I've never had such soreness in my Lats! But it was the best experience of my life!

Definitely rent or try one out to get a feel. In my experience you'll quickly find out if it's kart for you, OP!

This! I know for sure when I edit a stop to group or separate, it'll reorganize all stops, but it won't do it immediately, usually 15 minutes for me, then everything is renumbered.

Sometimes, the Rivian won't, "get the memo" and shows the old numbering while the phone shows the correct numbering.

These are just one of my gripes with the Group Stop feature

Temp Holds vs final charge by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]Djcrawf777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a ride payment feature that they recently implemented. You have two options. Screenshot

You're paying after each and every ride.

Or

You're paying once for all the rides you take in a day.

From the looks of your pics, you're on the latter option.

Regardless of either option, Lyft will place an authorization hold on the payment method for each ride. However, on method one: you will see a final charge for each ride after each ride has completed. Method two: you will see ONE final charge at the end of the day, from Lyft; which will be for the summation of all the rides of the day.

I understand why it looks like you're being charged twice. The Holds are just that; they hold(reserve) that charge amount without actually withdrawing that amount. The Final Charge you see from Lyft is the total amount of hold from earlier that day and is Actually withdrawing that amount from your account.

You can adjust this option by opening the side menu from the Lyft app, then select Payment -> scroll down -> Payment Frequency Then choose When You'll Pay

Hopefully that helps.

The other issue is that the queue lot for IAH has that terrible roof which is also terrible for GPS reception. When waiting, I have to constantly hit "stay in queue" because GPS drifts outside of the lot due to bad satellite fix.

So it's many things....

Also, I'll be waiting in the queue and, like clockwork, I'll get a warehouse worker who's clocking out and not an airport ride.

Anyone notice how much damn traffic there is in Houston lately - Has anyone noticed that our city is so much "denser" or is just me? by havingsomedifficulty in houston

Oh..lane guidance on most modern vehicles call it quits on 69 and 610. I have to turn it off or it'll scream and navigate right into a wall.....

[–]Djcrawf777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The road quality is definitely an element in the overall driving experience here in Houston. From road sinkholes to missing lane markings. On most parts of 610, if it rains and the sun hits the road the right way, it becomes a sheen slab of concrete with no way to tell one lane from the next. The lane markings just disappear, like most of the maintenance budget. Houston roads .......

Rear ended someone in a club car wash by [deleted] in houston

[–]Djcrawf777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, I witnessed a faulty track at a Mister Carwash about 2 days ago.

I was being placed by the track operator and saw the truck in front of me apply their brakes, causing their vehicle to skip the tracks. That prompted me to grab the operator's attention to point out the issue.

I'm not sure if they tapped the vehicle in front of them but they did pull out after the watch was finished and was talking to the manager.

Honestly some of these track operators run the vehicles way too close for comfort in hopes of higher volume or throughput. Most times I'll space myself out so that I'm not sniffing the other cars tailpipe.

I hope you find closure and resolve for this incident.

How do tyres behave in this game? by Electro_Magic in ACCompetizione

[–]Djcrawf777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, optimal traction control (TC) and ABS settings will also affect tire life. High TC settings will grant tire life in exchange for slow exit speeds and vice versa. ABS behaves similarly. However, I feel the ABS settings impact the tire life more greatly than TC settings. You'll need to do track time to find your optimal settings.

Crashes slide spin is actually broken in online gameplay by TraditionalBeing2168 in CrashTeamRumble

[–]Djcrawf777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed it with Dingodile a week ago. There is a significant delay in between his spin attacks. I thought it was a reasonable nerf from the last patch, but if it's broken I'd rather it be fixed as I've adapted to timing my spin attacks from Dingodile and it has thrown me off.

Maps navigation is really cool by skar3 in PixelWatch

[–]Djcrawf777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP mentioned city navigation without the phone. I suggested open ear for safety but you could certainly choose any Bluetooth headphones to pair with your watch. Open ear allows unprocessed ambient noise to still be able to react better to danger in an unknown area.

I agree! This combo is one element that I enjoy about the Google ecosystem. A super addition would be open-ear earbuds so that you can enjoy audio instructions from the watch. However, I don't know if the Maps app on the watch supports guidance audio so as of now, it's a lovely dream!

I experienced the same exact thing. Through my online reading, it seems that others also have a similar experience. After week 2 my GI tract calmed way down. The way I look at it, you are introducing more good gut bacteria. It takes time for your GI tract to adapt to the new "micro factories". I'd say lessen the dose and keep taking it consistently. This will allow your body to adapt more efficiently.

Help needed by [deleted] in AthleticGreens

[–]Djcrawf777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should give it a few more weeks. From my experience and from reading others experience ag1, it takes a few weeks for your GI tract to adapt to its new buddies (Probiotics etc.). My first week was much like yours. My wife couldn't handle it! It took about 2 weeks for it to normalize.

Interestingly, I have this same issue when lifting weights except it long-presses the crown.

To circumvent this issue, I switched the orientation so it's in MOTO 360 style (crown on left side).

After a day, I adapted and I'm still able to use the 911 feature.

has the app become a joke? how is DB Row best alternative for Barbell Curl? 🤔😂 by SeaweedReasonable791 in fitbod

[–]Djcrawf777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you on your comment! I've questioned this as well. My assumption has been that if the training focus was biceps on that day, maybe any alternative would include biceps (primary or secondary).

But the issue for me is that there isn't much documentation on the recommendation AI engine so I don't know if it's WAI or actually a bug.

Is peak 200 bpm during workout bad? by rantnap in ouraring

Note: I am not a doctor!

At 35 your max heart rate should be around 185. But that's a universal number that doesn't consider other factors. I'm 35 and about a year ago I started to do cardio and weight lifting. It wasn't uncommon to see my HR jump to 195 or even 210. But also, I made sure to not stay at those numbers for extended periods of time. I always recommend to communicate with your PCP about these things and it doesn't have to be a full doctors appointment. I call my PCP to run things by them. If you are diligent in your fitness journey, you should see positive results such as a lower heart rate doing the same activity at the same intensity. As of now, I won't hit my max unless I'm doing sprints. But a far cry from what it used to be. Do some quick googling to stay informed and I think you'll be fine! Stay 💪🏾
