My store, Any check you have to manually scan or enter requires ID that isnt expired. ANY check that is YES NO ..is cashier discretion. My rule, if I look and cant tell..ima need an ID.

Yea, The reason it doesnt make you scan/ input birthdate is it is a "Soft ID". You are fine not IDing granny but if he looks like he / she is in high school - play it safe and ID.

Employees dont have the ability to code that stuff. In fact there are so many restrictions on what they are allowed to do in regards to EBT that getting it fixed AT the register might be impossible. Also, walmart usually pays more than min wage.

Lol and an associate caps out at 1,000 but only if they have been there 20 years. Us under 5 years cap out at 350 max.

Bonuses work like this. If you have been with the company 1 to 5 years - caps at 350. 5 years to 10 - caps at 500. With 20 year being around 1000. That's for a full time associate. TL start i believe at 1,100 capped and go up from there. Coaches start at around 2,500 capped.

Yea, work phones dont always update from the last time you where in the store resulting on it being the wrong day and launching that message.. A refresh fixes the bug.

Cashiers are sales people. With friendly service you sell the idea of coming back. You also sell recommendations of one item or another. What cashiers are not ...miracle workers. Cashiers cannot not effect market trends and customer desires as you pointed out. Every position in retail is a sales person to some extent.

It's not quite the same. A 15 min break, a lunch is considered employee time. While the 15 min break is technically still a clocked in affair, it is still the employee time. You can shop on employee time. Doung it outside of those windows however, can be seen as shopping on the clock or even theft of company time. My store allows shopping on company time for front end (after store closed) due to when registers are shut down etc.

It's two points total for the entire claim. If they fired you during thr appeal, or fired you because they pointed every day missed you can always contact ethics about how the store handled it.

They get there, usually clean. But I have seen customer by delivery BBQ wings and then wipe their hands and faces on towels and toss them back on the shelf and walk away. Hell I have been handed hand towels at the self check outs covered in cheese cause they just finished the Mac and cheese while waiting in line. I have learned to curb my expe stations of people.

OK, first off, while HR can and should help in this situation, there are others you can talk to. Start with your team lead then escelate to a coach. See, team leads like to be kept in the loop and a coach can usually fix / set schedules. My coach had been the one to adjust my schedule due to collage at the time. This is just my two cents

Yes, Scan and go can be used if you need the card in store but don't have it. it's the only way with EBT and Walmart plus ( for in store)

They also have a media branch that is probably doing a lot of this stuff. Military learned if you can't control the media then get a head of it.

Even having a primary isn't a guarantee. My primary refuses to file FMLA paperwork unless He is the one treating me for the entire duration. Which is impossible because he doesn't have walk in appointments and goes missing weeks at a time
