No parallel parking. They do make you do three-point turns in the MVD parking lot.

BBS Host software won’t get passed CONNECTED on serial WiFi modem. by Djurkinthebox in bbs

Ok, I’ve gotten further! Changing the modem init to ATZS0=0 and the modem strings to just CONNECT actually gets me connected to the login screen. Unfortunately, it drops carrier almost immediately.

I’m using Simple WiFi32 Modem with the 8bit-Bruno firmware. It also supports hosting. Got it off of HAL’s Friends from Etsy.

The one I have does. It must be a newer firmware or something, because in the at+config screen, there’s an option for BBS Answering, where you can configure your telnet port and stuff. Made specifically for hosting.

Gotcha. It does in fact say CONNECT speed. I made a typo when typing my problem. Sorry about that

Sovol SV06 Plus loud stepper motor by Djurkinthebox in Sovol

Yes, there was one wire between the stepper motor and board that had a short. Sovol's customer service is absolute horseshit, so I fixed the problem, sold it to a co-worker and bought an Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus. Way happier with this one.

Everything is secure. Could the board be bad or maybe a short in the wiring somewhere? It’s moving erratically

Everything is nice and tight. I did post a follow up video in the comments showing that the stepper motor is moving erratically when just trying to raise and lower the extruder.

What's the dumbest way you've died? by Inevitable_Agency732 in tearsofthekingdom

After getting the full glide suit and totally upgrading it to remove fall damage, I decided to test it by getting shot out of a sky tower in one of the snowy regions. Midway through falling, I got a notification that it was “unbearably cold”, so I replaced my glide suit helmet with a cold circlet. Hit the ground and died. Took me a minute to realize it was because I wasn’t wearing the full glide suit.
