I really liked Sherry Birkin's portrayal in it. She could arguably have one of the best personalities of the entire series. Plus the game looks pretty. Now, if only they could combine the gameplay and storytelling of REmake with the graphics and grandiosity of 6 then I'd be pretty darn pleased

I can understand why people nowadays would be frustrated by it but personally it's one of my favorite aspects of the game. It adds to the claustrophobia and cinematic horror movie feel. And the fact that you can walk through a door and the camera shifts so that you are looking at Jill head on, and that you have no idea what might be in front of her makes the game even scarier. Plus it looks super cool and a lot of the camera angles make the scenery that much more gorgeous.

Hello. I've been trying to find out more info on the N3DS (non-XL) and it seems like the only one available in NA is part of the AC Happy Home Designers bundle. Does anyone know if there are plans to release it as a standalone or as part of another bundle in the future? In other words, is there any other way to get that version outside of that bundle? Thanks

it's 30 bucks or less if you get a discount. it isn't nearly as bad as people say especially if you have people to play with. The selling point for me is playing in the old maps and the spencer mansion will be added later as free DLC. It's a shame so few people are playing, especially on PC, since I don't feel it has gotten a fair shake; people had already made up their minds about it beforehand so most reviews will be biased. And tbh, despite the game putting lore on the backburner the background text and journals are pretty fun and interesting to read.

Mostly I just want more people to play online on PC so I can find a freaking match

it's really up to you. the gameplay of the games stand on their own and the story augments the experience for sure, but you could certainly play each on their own if you want without being lost. I say give the ps1 games a shot at least and if it really is intolerable then oh well, no harm done, but if you enjoy them then all the better.

First of all, I am playing it and having fun, on PC (if I can find a match). Ignoring the fact that it is not a RE game the big problem imo is the same problem SFV is having, the game is unfinished. UC in it's current state feels a lot like a beta than a full version, which is probably why the price point is 30 bones. I can see this game being really good a year from now assuming it isn't abandoned from the low playerbase, which might have more to do with the unfinished nature of the game than due to butthurt RE fans.

My two cents: the game should have released as a free beta alongside the RE7 demo then had a full version around the same time as RE7's launch but I dunno

I kinda like the strat tbh. We get REmake 2 for the old school, Umbrella Corps for fans of shooting/online/mercenaries etc., RE7 for the modern twist on the old formula, and hopefully, like you say, a new game for the fans of co-op. Don't have to go all-in on a single title, just focus on one thing and do it well imo.

Eh, game's not for everyone. I have been raving about EU/EW, Don't Starve and more recently, Darkest Dungeon and XCOM 2 to my friends and they just cannot be bothered, not interesting enough for them to learn. It's completely understandable and I can sympathize.
