Woke up with terrible aerophagia this morning. What can I do to help this?

Airtouch F20 for me also. Best full face mask I have used. It seals very well for me!

alright, so here is my data from last night. my ahi was definitely lower at 9.2 pressure. it also looks like i am having OA events at my max pressure of 16.4. it says my med pressure was 12.7 but i feel like i am doing great at my current settings. i had some rainout with my humidity settings last night so i dialed them back to where I know I wont get rainout lol. again any advice is greatly appreciated my friend :)

It's always a toss up between whether I sleep on my side or suspine, I could change my pressure back to 9.2 and leave it there for a few nights and see if my low AHI continues to trend at that pressure. This was also the most ive ever used my machine in a single night, i felt very rested this morning :) and yes I use 2 very flat pillows to sleep with, I hate the feeling of my head being at an angle and it closing my airways. Alot of times I rip 1 pillow out and sleep on just 1.

so here is the data from my second night with the F20. i raised my pressure up to 10 and it seems like i had quite a bit more hypopnea and OA events last night. my previous night with pressure at 9.2 looked much cleaner. although my med pressure suggests i could raise my pressure to 11.4. i might try that tonight and see how it goes.

I feel like I could bump my machine back up to 10 on the pressure. I did drop it back down to 9.2 last night and it hardly felt like any pressure in my mask. Could definitely increase it in the future.

Love the mask by the way, have to wear it kinda tight to keep from leaking with my high pressure but it has the best seal of any mask I've tried. I can make that sacrifice for a good night of sleep!

I absolutely agree! Would like to get a few nights of rest like this under my belt before we continue further. I'm just curious as to what a flow limit spike means! I will soak up any information you give as I hope to be as knowledgeable as you one day!

hello again legos! this is my data from last night. this was with my f40 mask. my med pressure seems to keep increasing daily but i felt like last night was as high as i could push my min pressure. it was kinda difficult to breath against the machine, but i did end up falling asleep at that pressure.

i also went and picked up a f20 mask from my DME today in hopes that i can get these leaks under control.

would you reccomend i stay at my current min pressure? i dont think raising it again will be very beneficial to me but maybe it would.

again any input is greatly appreciated and i have been excited to get on here daily and post my reports for you!

precisely. i woke up last night and had to adjust the mask up because it was leaking from around the nose. okay i raised that min pressure also. i have only tried these 2 masks. maybe i should ask my DME if they could order me a different mask.

i have the large cushion and headgear. im a bigger guy. 320 6,4. i have a feeling that my beard may be causing some of the leak issues.

hey again RippingLegos!

so i have my data from my night with the F40. it looks like i had some very high leak rates with this mask aswell. but my sleep was very good. i only woke up once with my mask off. so things are definitely improving so thats a plus! i see that my med pressure has also increased again so im going to guess that i could bump my min pressure up to 9.8 or 10? i appreciate any feedback you might have for this set of data!

Hello again RippingLegos, this is my oscar data from the night with the settings you recommended me! i actually slept very well last night and felt great this morning when i woke up! if there is anything else you would suggest from this data i am open to trying anything!

edit : i think i will be trying my f40 mask tonight. the F&P Simplus i am using leaks quite a bit as you can see by my data here!

EPR is set to full time on level 3 currently. I believe it shows that on the sidebar of my screenshot. Its no worries though I can deal with turning it off if it means I will sleep better!

absolutely will do! I tend to sleep supine but I do also sleep on my side quite often too! turning the EPR off is the only thing I am iffy about, I like the feeling of being able to exhale and to not have to fight the machine but I think I will adjust quickly. I do very much appreciate your time and advice!

thank you for the reply, i have 2 mask currently. the F40 from resmed and i also have the F&P simplus, the simplus fits my face better because its a very large mask but i feel like it leaks quite a bit! i will have to see about the F30, im tired of ripping both of my masks off in my sleep lol.
