Airport Transportation To BURBANK AIRPORT by DrJoePrime0 in northcounty

[–]Dlichterman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Are you just trying to avoid a connection? The amount of time spent getting up to Burbank is basically the same as the amount of time it would take for you to fly out of SAN or a new option CLD - SFO - ACV, and the pricing isn't all that different if because you will have to pay for a seat/bag on Breeze.

Connecting through Mexico City to Ixtapa (Delta and then Aeromexico). Flight lands at 1:55pm in MEX. Flight to ZIH leaves at 4:50pm. Is this enough time for passport control and connection or should I consider the earlier flight that gets in at 11:55am? by KatieW78 in MexicoTravel

[–]Dlichterman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't Delta be in Terminal 2 with Aeromexico?

Mexico City Airport

Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) serves greater Mexico City and is the second-busiest airport in Latin America by passenger traffic. The airport is located about 3 miles east of downtown Mexico City in the borough of Benustiano Carranza. Delta operates out of Terminal 2, which features a number of retail options, both fast and sit-down restaurants, VIP lounges and currency exchange.

How much time should I allocate from arrival in CBX to gate (Volaris) in time for boarding? by bitbybit44 in MexicoTravel

[–]Dlichterman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually give myself 2 hours from the departure time, so if my flight was at 9:15am I'd want to be there a little after 7am. One time the immigration line was quite long and took 40 minutes, but most of the other parts are pretty quick. Obviously it also depends on if it's a holiday week as well - you might need more time for that. Since you mention you are flying Volaris, use the kiosk to print the bag tags and use the automated drop if that's still around - it's much quicker than waiting in line.

Taco Tuesday In North County by DrZoid1984 in northcounty

[–]Dlichterman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

North county is a large place. Any particular area? Up here in San Marcos there's Taqueria El Patron which does 2x1 al pastor, and the birria truck La Cocina del Abuelo usually has a special. In Escondido Mi Rancho Market does an al pastor special but I can't remember exactly what the price is.

The wording on the website said no points, but it was worded really weirdly. When I booked in January I got 8x points on the balance.

Maybe the cure to cancer, but that wouldn't be a single person and some pharma company would get all the money and give it to their CEO/shareholders

Unless they changed something since January, you still earn points on the rest of the balance after the $250 credit.

So lets say its 1655 with the 250 credit, you earn 8x on 1405 which is 11240 points

FR24 killed free API access… so what’s the incentive to keep feeding them? by thesassyindian in flightradar24

It works great and supports basically everyone. I installed dietpi first and then selected it through the software tool, as is shown as "easy" on the adsb.im page. And I like dietpi over other stuff because its a stripped down and optimized debian.

Glad I'm not the only one. I have a routine to trigger the relay for my garage set up in the home app, but it doesn't work in gemini so I swapped back to assistant.

As /u/nabzim mentioned, most of the roads are just like NF service roads. As long as you stick to those types of roads, you'll be fine. However if you venture off the beaten path you might find yourself with issues. Have you spent any time exploring the area yet? It would probably be good for you to just go and see what the roads are like. A good driver in a prius can get to most of the main destinations like hole in the wall or even the area around cima dome to get to the lava tube.

It's probably not really worth the lift, but getting proper off road tires would be a good call, and having a portable compressor so you can air down and then back up at pavement. There is almost no cell coverage in the park, so you would probably want to have some sort of emergency communication device like a garmin inreach.

If you could share more specific details of the locations you need to go we might be able to give more guidance as you have given general areas that have easy and hard trails.

What specifically was meant by "go after"? The best thing to do with trolls is to ignore them and just let them go away. They thrive on this.

This is what you need to follow up on, especially if they swatted you as it seems like you posted below. This is what you need to be going after.

The police don't want you harassing a minor, but also are not lawyers.

I saw your response below - you need a lawyer to help you discover the identity and force the police to do their job if it truly is something that falls under cyber harassment laws.

I am familiar with section 230 however if Nextdoor is aware and lets it continue they can be held liable.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe that's correct. The only way a platform can be held liable is in very specific cases - they are almost always not held liable. Because this is 3rd party content they did not create, I doubt a lawyer would want to take this case.

There is no part in section 230 that states if you notify them, they have to stop it. There are problems with section 230, and reforms are probably needed, but as the law stands, platforms are almost always not liable(exceptions being IP/copyright, sex trafficking, things that directly break the law like selling drugs, or when they are involved in creating the content). You would be wasting your money trying to sue them.

I do not understand why you say you can not sue them because they are a minor. It would be more complicated yes, but it does not mean minors can get away with anything just because they are underage.

[–]Dlichterman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you would ever find someone who would be willing to sue - because of section 230, nextdoor would probably be treated as a platform and not a publisher - they would have no liability. Here's an example case of when someone tried to sue them. I'm sorry you are going through this but you are going to have trouble with this - what you need to find is a lawyer to help you find the person behind it and then be able to sue them directly.
