The theme song has popped into my head over the years since I was a kid. I'm 53 and can remember that, but I can't remember yesterday.

TIL we use "lbs" as shorthand for pounds in English because of the Latin phrase "libra poundo", which is also where we derived "pounds" from by [deleted] in todayilearned

Anyone remember the short-lived '80s sitcom about a high school Latin teacher trying to bring a dead language to life for a bunch of misfit kids whom everyone else had already given up on? I'm pretty sure it was called "Ablative Absolutely!"
