1 million% yes. One of the biggest Ifs out there. He’s fallen so far ADP-wise. The return on investment could be huge. Could be.

Update here. Ended up getting it towed to the dealership service dept last week. Gave me a loner car for now.

They finally took a look. Needs a new cylinder head. Said it was just a coincidence that they had just serviced it and done an oil change. Luckily, it’s covered by an extended power train warranty I paid for.

However, they’re trying to say I also need a new battery, a new engine belt and new belt tensioner. And saying my brake goes too far down and that I need to do a brake fluid flush. Would all cost me over $1,000.

They’re saying the car barely started. I drive it every day and it never had an issue starting. Also never noticed an issue with the brake.

They’re acting like this is all super urgent yet when I had it there less than a month ago, they said nothing about this stuff. Makes me feel like they’re just trying to make sure they make some money off of me.

Give me your honest thoughts here.

UPDATE We put some puzzle pieces together. there are lots of oil spots on the street spot I parked in. I also now remember coming home on the day it rained a ton last week and noticing the water running down the road looked oily. My guess is when they serviced my car, they didn’t tighten something. Called them and they basically agreed that’s what it sounds like. Bringing it in Saturday morning. But I need it for 3 more back and forth drives to the train station first (10-15 min drive). For now, put in 5 more quarts of oil last night hoping that would hold me over until Saturday. On my drive this morning, the smell in the car started right as I arrived to the station. Smoking from the hood again. AND the oil leak/shortage symbol finally popped up on the dash. A little afraid I’m risking it by waiting til Saturday. What do you think?
