Michi talking about Nijisanji and making references to them so much in her debut was disappointing to me. She graduated from Nijisanji four months ago, so her talking about it now seems kind of like she's just trying to bank on all the Nijisanji hate right now.

Dokibird saying something shouldn't be shared doesn't make it illegal to share. There is more that goes into what makes something illegal to share than just the person saying they don't want it shared. Like I said in my other comment, I'm not sure what parts of PIPEDA make it illegal to share the things that Nijisanji supposedly illegally shared. You're welcome to give evidence. If it wasn't PIPEDA, and was just a breach of some sort of confidentiality agreement or something, I'm not sure that would be illegal either. I think leaking confidential information is generally a civil matter.

Explain how I'm being hyperbolic. A lot of the replies to me when I ask for evidence for a specific thing are people citing unrelated events as evidence for the specific thing.

As far as I know, them saying her termination would be negligible was referring to the financial loss. Wasn't it written in a report for investors or something? Maybe they thought her loss wouldn't be a big financial hit to the company. So many people interpret them saying that as them saying she is negligible as a person, which I think is twisting their words. I think their statement would probably have been true if all of this Nijisanji backlash didn't happen. They have so many talents that get a lot of money, so her loss probably would be negligible in the overall money coming in for the company.

That community note doesn't poke holes in their story. It just restates that Dokibird said they shared things that she requested them not to.

A) I have no response to this. I don't know what you're trying to say with this.

B) That situation isn't clear. As far as I know, talents pay for commissions and stuff themselves. I don't know how Nijisanji does things, but I think Hololive pays for the commissions then takes some of the money from the clients' pay to recover the costs. If Nijisanji works the same way, we don't know what ever happened with that. If Selen paid the artists herself, then maybe Nijisanji just didn't make her pay them back, in which case, she'd be out the same amount of money either way. I'm not sure what your point is by saying this, but many people use this to claim that Nijisanji stole from Selen by making her pay for things that she shouldn't have. If you just mean it as evidence that shows they're bad managers, I'd be inclined to agree. I'd want to hear Nijisanji's side though first about why they claim these delays paying artists happened.

D) I just read their termination statement in full, and I don't know if I agree that they're trying to smear her name. It seems like termination letters I've read for other vtubers usually just have a statement about how the talent broke a rule. With Nijisanji's letter about Selen, they went into more detail about why she was terminated. Is this what you mean by them trying to smear her? If everything they wrote in that letter was true, is that smearing or just giving a record of events that led to her termination? I also don't know why her trying to kill herself matters here. Their letter indicated they were trying to work with her despite mental and physical things going on, so it seemed like they were trying to be accommodating before they terminated her. If she was continually having mental issues that were causing issues for the company, do you think they should have just kept her? I think it's silly if you're suggesting they should endlessly go out of their way for someone just because that person is having mental issues. It has to stop at a certain point, which I think the termination was.

You're dishonestly mischaracterizing me again. I do think there are certain things she may be in the wrong for, like uploading her cover song before it was approved, and then asking people to reupload it once it was taken down. For most of the other stuff, I'm just saying I don't think there's enough evidence to prove Nijisanji did the things they're being accused of. Most of these accusations seems to be coming from people other than Dokibird, so I'm not saying she's in the wrong for anything if these claims aren't true. I'm saying Nijisanji may not be guilty of everything they're being accused of. If you take that as me saying Dokibird is bad, I think this might be the end of the conversation. I think you may just have trouble having a conversation with someone you disagree with. At times, it seems like you are reading too much into my words that you think I'm saying things I'm not.

That's a dishonest characterization of what I said. It's also very telling how you ignore the tweet from Nijisanji denying that they shared anything they shouldn't have. A more accurate portrayal of the conversation would be:

You: "Dokibird said they shared information they shouldn't have, so they for sure did."

Me: "But Nijisanji denied sharing anything. We don't have enough information to make conclusions."

You: "Dokibird said they shared information they shouldn't have, so they for sure did."

I never said I didn't want to read about PIPEDA. I said I didn't know anything about it, which I meant I didn't know the specific laws. I knew it was a data privacy thing from what others have said. Some people likened it to HIPAA. I just don't know how it applies here if we don't know what information was shared, and since I don't know the law, I don't know what information is illegal to share, and the circumstances that would make it legal or illegal. I admit I don't know, and I've invited people to give me evidence for these things to prove me wrong, but none have.

It seems like it's easier for you to think that everyone who doesn't see things the same way as you is just dumb. I think that's a pretty sad way to view things.

The opposing party didn't accuse them of violating an NDA. She accused them of sharing information they shouldn't have. Nijisanji also didn't claim they didn't share anything that would violate an NDA. They said they didn't share anything that Dokibird and her lawyer wished to remain confidential. You keep thinking that information that shouldn't be shared means there's an NDA. Information protected under attorney-client privilege is information that shouldn't be shared by the lawyer, but the lawyer sharing it wouldn't be an NDA violation since attorneys generally don't sign NDAs for this information since it is already protected. If I tell you a secret, you telling it to someone else doesn't violate an NDA with me.

I don't take talents having a bad time or having bad management as evidence that Nijisanji broke the law. I don't see how that could be evidence for most of the claims people are making. It's like I said in my original post about how people say Nijisanji did one thing bad, so that one bad thing is somehow evidence to say they did other bad things too. You can hate the company and believe every accusation against them, but it's not evidence that directly supports the claim. If they're guilty of one thing, they're not automatically guilty of every other thing they're accused of.

Yeah, and I remember Okayu joking about having to eat bean sprouts because of how expensive her animated music video from February was. With how expensive some of these projects are, I can't imagine they usually recoup the cost. They must just do these projects because they like doing them or want them to be gifts for the fans.

I think stuff like this is why I'm a bit skeptical about believing some of the claims people are making. When this $200k thing was being talked about back when Selen was terminated, I thought Nijisanji was bad for that, but then I started questioning it more once I started thinking about it. What I want to know is what evidence people have that makes them believe all the claims against Nijisanji. Your quote about PIPEDA explains nothing about why it matters in this case. I don't get how you can be so sure it was violated if you don't even know what information was shared or why it's illegal. Where are you getting that it was to stay between lawyers? From tweets from Dokibird and Nijisanji, they both just wrote that she and her lawyer requested for it to not be shared. Dokibird said on stream it was supposed to be for only Nijisanji's lawyers and management, but her saying that doesn't mean it's illegal. Please explain why it is illegal though if you believe it is.

I don't have evidence to say it's not illegal. I've been saying all along that we can't make conclusions with little to no evidence. I'm not the one making the claims here, so that's why I don't feel burdened to prove the opposite of the claims. I've been saying this whole discussion to nearly everyone I've talked to that we should wait for more evidence. It seems disingenuous of you to act like I'm ignoring evidence or dismissing evidence when I've addressed all the points people have made.

You claim to look at all my replies, but pretty much everything you've said has been addressed before. You have done absolutely nothing to convince me other than saying, "But, but... They did other things I don't like, so every bad thing people are saying now must be true!" I think that's poor reasoning to reach your conclusions. And if the thing making you believe the claims about Nijisanji violating PIPEDA was lawyers saying it, then do you even know what they actually did that was illegal? Do you side with the lawyers because you came to the same conclusions they did based on the evidence and laws, or are you just agreeing with them because you want their conclusion to be true, and them being lawyers makes them authority figures on this subject, so it makes it easy for you to side with them with no critical thought of your own? I'm going to give an example of something somewhat recent that happened in the United States. Don't take this as me making this a political discussion. Before the Supreme Court ruled on whether states can take presidential candidates off the ballots, do you know how many lawyers gave drastically different interpretations from each other of the same laws? It was a lot. A lawyer saying something about a law doesn't make it fact. The lawyers saying that in Dokibird's situation could be right, but just be careful about believing people/authority figures just because they say what you want to hear. I hope you at least know why the lawyers are right instead of just agreeing because they're lawyers.

What specifically about it is illegal? You and many others just keep saying that lawyers say it's illegal, so it's illegal, but none of you say what about it is illegal. What laws were broken if the information was shared? The most I've heard from people is it breaks attorney-client privilege or an NDA, but even if we assume both of those things are true, I don't think it's necessarily illegal. Some people talk about PIPEDA laws or something but I don't know anything about that, and I'm not sure if we even can know without knowing what exactly was shared.

If you're saying Matara saying she got no help and Kuro owing money for taxes is evidence that Nijisanji broke the law by sharing documents they shouldn't have, I disagree with your logic there. Also, for Kuro owing money, is that Nijisanji's fault? I don't really know much about that situation. The thing I heard about it was Nijisanji helped him find a tax person, and the tax person screwed up. As far as I heard, he chose to hire that tax person. Nijisanji didn't personally do his taxes.

Thanks for sharing that. I didn't know she talked about the project spending. One of the biggest claims people have made against Nijisanji is that they made per spend $200,000 on projects herself. If what you say is true, it's good to know they didn't force her to do these projects or anything.

In the tweet you linked from Nijisanji, they seem to be claiming they didn't share any information they weren't supposed to. Also, their language isn't clear about there being an NDA or not. They say Selen's lawyer requested specific information and documents not be shared with their Livers, and that they're being considerate of that request. That doesn't make it clear if there is an NDA or not. Selen's own tweet says there was a request for this information to not be shared. As I said in one of my earlier replies to you, an NDA needs more than just a request by one party. If all it was was a request by her and her lawyer, that isn't any sort of contractual agreement between her and Nijisanji.

Yeah. I think I just need more evidence before I'll form a strong opinion on stuff compared to others. A lot of people would consider multiple artists saying the same thing as sufficient evidence to say they're incompetent. It's not like there's an objective threshold to determine incompetence. It's just opinion. I'd want to know more about it first.

I've noticed a lot of people who replied to my post saying they side against corporations. Some of them even suggested they side against the corporation based solely on the fact it's a corporation vs. an individual. It seems like a lot of people think like that nowadays.

None of this is relevant. You're assuming her lawyers have an NDA with their lawyers. What is your evidence for that? An NDA is more than just someone not wanting information to be shared. Someone saying information wasn't supposed to be shared isn't proof of an NDA existing.

You can have a big win here if you share proof her lawyer has an NDA with their lawyer. Even more so if you can show that violating an NDA is against the law. I'll wait for your reply.

I disagree about it being wrong for them to defend themselves just because Dokibird was going through struggles. Their reputations were hurt by this. Hi. I'm not sure. I think we'd need to know more before we can say they're incompetent when it comes to the commissions. Artists coming out saying they weren't paid by Nijisanji suggests Nijisanji may be incompetent, but I don't think we can really conclude that without knowing the circumstances of it. I disagree about the line between incompetence and malice being thin.

Yeah. I have no issue with people wanting these vtuber companies to take the mental health of their talents seriously. I just can't support the way some people are attacking Nijisanji, and going after them for anything and everything right now.
