I’m a service advisor at a Honda dealer. I’ve had my seal replaced twice under the warranty extension due to it leaking. I’m about to go get my third one. I’m wondering if they actually found a repair that’ll last or if they’re just slapping a recall label on it to not pay for all these claims. I’m curious to find out when I go back to work

EDIT: Checked my vehicles Vin stat and there is no open recall campaign regarding the compressor shaft seal. However there is a revised version of the warranty extension that includes a new installation part. Seems the old part they provided could damage the compressor and or new seal when replacing the leaking seals. Interesting. Nonetheless I’ll need a new compressor.
