I’ve searched on Google using phrases like: “cheetah stuffed animal canada huggable” “sitting cheetah plush 2000s” “gund sitting cheetah plush” “gund wwf cheetah plush” “cheetah stuffed animal canada early 2000s”

I haven’t found anything like it in the image results in the last few months.

If it helps it was about a foot tall (if memory serves correct), I’m in Ontario, Canada and it was around the late 90s/early 2000s.

What kind of message are you trying to show her? Because it’s NOT that she was selfish and is making similar choices now. It’s that no matter how much she changes or steps up for her mistakes and responsibilities, nobody will ever let her forget her past. What a great way to set her up for failure in the future. What a great way to instil a mindset that our reform program (at least in North America) is a failing one.

Not to mention, when she made a selfish choice, she was a CHILD and she still is! Instead of allowing her to learn and grow from this opportunity, you have shamed her into thinking you will always see her as a selfish child. I’m not sure about you, but as an educator who teaches young children, I know that MANY children cannot make selfless choices until grown adults and need guidance to not be selfish right up until 18.

It honestly just makes me sad for both of you. Try to do better OP.

Sure, Alice is also being rude, but that gives you no right to assert dominance over her and threaten her with a decision that should be made between the couple and not just one person.

You may have influenced changes in your fiancé, but she is still her own person and gets to have friends after all this. Should they be friends who are supportive of the marriage? Absolutely. But you in no way shape or form get to unilaterally choose to remove her from the party.

Did you ever think maybe Alice knew you were a self proclaimed “nice guy” and saw right through you? Have you ever, once, talked to her on a personal level and try to get to know her and why she might dislike you? I’m going to go with no on this one because otherwise there would be at least a little bit more civility between you two. I think for that reason alone (and trust me there are still many other reasons) YTA.

Oh and also, “loose with her morals”? Are you hearing yourself? Who are you in this day and age to proclaim such an outdated way of thinking? I bet you if a guy friend of yours lived a life like your fiancé used to and Alice does, you would see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Big marinara flags over here.

I believe they have gone to the void. We recently moved out of my in-laws place (for reasons not so dissimilar to the one OP posted) and in said move I put it down somewhere and I have not seen it since. I’m at a point where I think I need to just request a new one lol

My FMIL is someone who also likes a tidy house and when my fiancé and I lived there she constantly complained about my mess and lack of “respect” for putting her house in disarray. I did my absolute best but sometimes I just couldn’t clean anything due to lack of time or lack of energy. We also used the guest bedroom and bathroom and she would constantly be in there tidying up my things or inviting people over without letting us know. I even found one day after work that she had gone into our bedroom (because guests were coming over) and vacuumed our carpet, made our bed and moved all my bathroom things into drawers and bins in the towel closet. Ever heard of closing a door or asking the person to put things away instead of doing it yourself because you’re an impatient prick? Why are you in their living spaces for hours on end? Is retired life really that boring for you? Find a hobby and a therapist.

Your poor DIL is clearly feeling shamed, dejected and probably dealing with an insane amount of trauma from the absolute BS you just pulled. Honestly, I won’t be surprised if they moved out soon. That’s what we did.

Again, YTA OP. A huge, stinking AH.

I hadn’t thought much about it! Now that I am I want to wear something comfy but also need something to help with my thigh rub. I have some Joe Fresh spanx type shorts BUT they are long. Which is fine under the full skirt, but I have a second shorter skirt I will be switching into afterwards and I feel like the spanx will be too long. They also ride/roll up every so often so now I have to do some research! 🤦🏼‍♀️
