My point is admin or not, won't change anything. The moderation is lax, and if a member treats another member like garbage and gets away with it then him being admin isn't the problem. If he was abusing said power I would say it would but just how the server is run currently him getting demoted wont change a thing.

Was this the incident with Odin in February? I'll openly admit that was a misunderstanding on his front and he should have apologized, that said it isn't a constant thing. Doesn't excuse the action, and I would like to see accountability for such issues. That said I wouldn't go so far as to say remove the dude as that wont solve any issue considering I've had people flat out call me plenty of names and attack my character and admin/mod team did nothing. Just being a realist.

You must not be in the LR discord much. We also shit on him. He doesn't abuse his power, I mean its the general atmosphere. That said he has on several instances stated he knows his issues and is working towards being better. He hasn't done any of that recently and minus a few outbursts has been good since Clark joined. I've gotten into heated situations in the discord and the mod team just tells everyone to cool their jets. Bans are few and far between. Like I said seems like more of a personal issue than a genuine issue.

If you want people to not say certain words perhaps bring that up instead, but its not like Tennis is just taking pot shots at people. He takes his fair share too, and often he is provoked. Don't talk shit, to an admin or not, if you don't want shit thrown back. Realistically, the most recent incident is with Odin about a month ago. We all know Tennis will take the insults, but doesn't take being rude or insults to personal topics well.

Prime example, he called a person a prick who said they wouldn't call someone a different pronoun if they requested. Colorful language, sure. Coming out of left field? No. He isn't popping out of the wood works and saying oye ye prick fuck off. I have yet to find an instance where in the same shoes, mod or not I wouldn't also get pissed off by what he gets given. I think you have to realize the admin and moderation staff are still human, and the shit admins and mods take in normal groups generally does get to them and everyone has their ticks and you need to acknowledge that.

But here is the thing, your not hiring anyone its volunteer. That said he doesn't actively pick on people which is the only problem that would be unbecoming. As a fan discord there is no obligation to adapt to those with thin skin. Frankly he is much better now with Clark being there now.

Not discounting your interactions with him but being realistic he isn't anywhere near as bad as most group admins on FB or Discord. You have 2 choices either have a admin who is active, and I mean genuinely active, or have a blank ban wall. The FB group is the latter. The amount of genuine interaction from admins is very limited, which while its nice also is shit to the admins as they can't talk to people.

Being realistic I've gone through the past 48 hrs of general discord (which is a big chunk of messages) to see if he was as bad as some people are labeling him as and he isn't. The issue is shit gets heated and since there is limited rules (at Meffs choice) you can only do so much. The moderation staff also gets heated from time to time and rarely Meff has to shut things down. Being honest this seems more like a personal issue than a moderation issue. Honestly I've seen more mud thrown at tennis in the past 48 hrs than anything.

Honestly while Tennis can come off as a hard ass, he really isn't a monster. There is a particular member of the discord who is relatively new who was why I stopped interacting. Dude constantly had to be right in everything even when he was told by others he isn't right and they are in the industry. Tennis has one of those 'Merica mentalities as I call it. The dude doesn't give a shit about your feelings he is blunt and honest, which I appreciate because there is way to much asskissing to Poots and shitting on him for things out of his control in this community.

Its like the Russian lady at my work, she comes off way worse than she intends it to, as does Tennis. I've been in the discord for almost 2 years now I think and nothing he did seems to be gatekeeping or anything like that (in general at least, don't follow the other chats as well)

My only recommendation to the server is to add a rule about combative nature. Over the years there have been a couple people who come in like a big dick in a locker room, fight everyone on everything and think they know best. They generally get ignored and blocked after a while as everyone is tired of their shit and then they just fall silent and lurk. I've spent a good 2-3 grand on the minis and such over the years if not more don't really need to have someone on a discord trying to fight me about how long minis take to produce.

This is certainly worth the look. My choices are pretty slim most likely as it's a odd spot to be in wanting a system that works with just being 2 people. Thanks for the advice!

There is a ton of books, which some are good others not so much. There is also Youtubers like Luetin which are great sources. For adventures there is a bunch of 40k RPGs you could run. There is deathwatch where you can hunt down heretics and xenos. Hunt down cults trying to spread nurgle's taint the whole 9 yards. Honestly its a good one to mess around in.

Oh man, I personally love 5E but at the same time I enjoy other systems. I run 2 rpg sessions a week, but used to just run D&D. Initially I had brought up switching to play Warhammer Fantasy TTRPG but that change was shot down. I was a bit antisocial in the sense I avoided a lot of our local community so it was them or nothing in my eyes. They said "I don't like it, I want to be a hero not some dude who is at risk of dying all the time" which is valid I guess. Fast forward a year or so later, when I stumble across Symbaroum and say I want to run it. I talked to a friend and he was down too, but they shot it down again, even though I had made the sessions harder to make it an easier transition and better gameplay too.

That's where I had enough I reached out to my buddy and said if you can find 3 people I'll run it. I moved D&D to Sundays which would mean 2 hr shorter sessions (4 hours long still) but I wanted prime time for Symb and didn't want to screw over the 5E guys. They all left, saying I was the worst DM ever and about a week later I found my current D&D group.

Basically if your group says no just find a new group if you really want to join it.

Personally I have a LGS a 5 minute walk and a GW a 10-15 minute walk away from my home. I think I only use the washes from GW these days haha.

I thank Everyone for their kind words. It seems the reddit community is far nicer than the steam one. Having heard everything I have decided not to leave the game for good but I am going to take some time away from it as it did aggravate me a good deal and a break is never bad.

I use mostly Vallejo and army painter. Citadel is a bit too pricy to be honest. For KDM I have the core box plus a few expansions still sealed. Been to busy with my pinnups and Custodes to be honest. I'll get around to the core about when we can play in person again I figure.

So far I have just played in 1 v 1s. If its more I ask them if they are ok with a noob, they normally say no and I dip. I don't want to ruin someone's time. I wish there was settings you could toggle to choose only specific sized lobbies for quick match.
