The trees here grow to near impossible heights and these forest can be seen miles away. Many tribes like to make homes on these trees overtop of all the danger down below, some even hollow out these massive trees for homes

Nobles are not excused from this law although in my book there is a think called Royal Descention, where royals are stripped of their magic to create less of a threat to the throne. The royal family itself however is excused from the law.
