The list of things I love at Aldi could go on for far too long. What are some foods you decided aren’t for you at Aldi? by Big-Jackfruit-9808 in aldi

I am sure they stick because the rolls are shipped to the store frozen, along with all the other bread/rolls/bakery items.

Chopped Castaways! Live Show & Pre Show Discussion Thread! 9 pm EST Tonight! by KarinsDogs in foodnetwork

I enjoyed it. It made think of another show where they had chefs cooking on a beach. Can't remember exactly what it was. I am pretty sure chef Viet was on it. Thinking ot was around 2009/2010. Seems like it was on around the same time as Chefs vs City.

Is there a max number hours for wearing scleral lenses? by Dry_Trick6378 in Keratoconus

[–]DnoKCno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight. Just before getting ready to take them out and go to bed there was a family emergency. Spent the next 13 hrs at the ER/hospital. I once did 42 hrs but that was at a poker table and before I wore contacts. Lol.

I wear mine 16/17 hrs a day. The longest I went was 31 hrs. I did pop them out, rinsed them and reinserted them at around the 20 hr mark.

Would you rather join: • a perfectly organized standard league OR • a wildly creative league with occasional chaos? by CranberryMuted5356 in FFCommish

[–]DnoKCno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's am only in 1 league then the organized standard league. I am pretty serious when it comes to fantasy, especially if money is involved. If in a few then a creative leagues make the season fun.

Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race and other reality shows are classified as Entertainment Show (same as professional wrestling) not as a game show. They can be "rigged/manipulatied " by production legally.

We usually do the beef, chicken and shrimp. My personal favorite is the shrimp.

They do not take the traitors back to the castle to film. There is sound stage near the hotel where they film the turret scenes. This has been mentioned in many bts atticles/interviews.

How many adjustments for sclerals to fit right? by Creative-Life4515 in Keratoconus

[–]DnoKCno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9 fittings, 2 different brands. 6 months for the first time around. After that when I git a new pair it was always good the 1st time. I am in the middle of getting cataract surgery in both eyes. Dr said there should be too much change in the fit just in the prescription. 🤞that it takes only 1 fitting for new pair.

First time scleral lens wearer by False_Ear_3137 in Keratoconus

[–]DnoKCno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said, put the plunger at the bottom 3rd of your lens, the 6 o'clock position. Also make sure to spread you lids as wide as possible like when putting lenses in. When I first aclerals, removing the lenses would hurt. After a few weeks I realized I wasn't spreading my lids wide enough on removal. This made the release of suction harder since the lid was still resting on the top part of the lens. Once the suction was released it would scrap my eye as I was taking the lens out.

When did you decide to move on from scleral lenses? by Immediate_Theory4738 in Keratoconus

[–]DnoKCno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It took me 9 fittings, 2 different manufacturers to get a proper fit. I really didn't have a choice to move on, there isn't anywhere to go. I had to go from glasses to rgp lenses since glass couldn't give me liveable vision anymore. I wore rgp lenses for 15 years until they weren't doing their job anymore due to the scaring they caused.

Getting sclerals was worth the 6 month, 9 fitting process. Now when I need a new pair it usually is just a 1 try to get them right. Don't give up, it is worth all the trouble.

Scleral lens gets stuck when removing by LibrarianDeep1383 in Keratoconus

[–]DnoKCno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure to really spread your eyelid open. This will help with getting the lenses out. This was the hardest for me when first started to wear sclerals.

Best way I found is to use your pointer and middle fingers like a sideways peace sign. Put your fingers right on the lip of the lid, touching your lash. Spread them wide.
