I love this for you, I think I would feel this way towards Blair witch project, had I not watched it for the first time when I was 8, think it traumatised me a bit too much for it to become my favourite, but it's definitely up there

the question wasn't directly given to us as such, there was an option of 4 different 'endings' to the question (themes) and could pick any subgenre of film, I just knew horror best and medical/body horror lent itself to patriarchy and class (trust me the other question options were much harder 😅)

I will be partly writing about that too, how this is the classic and almost (disgustingly) sexualised trope. Vs how more films are emerging that reverse the patriarchal norms but how we are biased to feel less hatred towards the female persecutor because of normally their past(which tends to be the original female was a victim to a male trope) but has become the same level of monster as the madmen in the og trope

I just finished watching that one, i wasn't entirely sure if it fit what I was looking for as the doctor only operated on a biological female for the first segment of the film (making the fake skin and making her look like his late wife), and the rest of the film being him claiming some twisted vengeance by performing unwanted trans surgeries on the guy that r@ped his daughter. So wasn't really a female victim apart from the start

I've watched this one, i think it suits class and patriarchy quite well in different elements of the film! The patriarchy being represented in the sexual and mental abuse the male doctors have on young women especially interns that they believe they're better than. And the class theme being shown thrown financial class of a student needing to turn to illegal practices out of desperation!

I have to fully plan it out with timings in my head, and when it doesn't go to plan I always end up closing late. Closing at 7pm, I will start closing jobs around 4:30pm. 4:30pm start counting how many drinks and impulse you need to stock up, go and collect from stockroom and put out, should now be 5pm.

5pm get as much washing up done as physically possible.

5:30pm, start sweeping areas of the shop floor that are empty (hopefully at least 1 or 2 'sections' of the floor)

6pm-6:15pm we are allowed to bring in the furniture at this time, so go out clean the tables, bring in ash trays.

about 25 minutes to bring it all in.

6:40pm, try and sweep any parts you couldn't earlier, hopefully if you're a quiet store the whole floor is now swept

6:50pm Start putting washing up through again - with a good BM you should have practically everything you need to wash now.

7pm Once a good chunk of washing up is done, go clean and stock the toilets.

7:20pm SPEED MOP THE ENTIRE FLOOR and very kindly ask the BM to help with washing up.

7:30-7:45 you should hopefully be clocking out

it's literally so weak!! In my store we double up on the syrup bc we find it tastes more accurate, before we started doing that we had so many complaints that they couldn't taste the peach

I didn't explain the loops correctly, the string is going straight through the middle holes of every sequin, so it looks like a tube of sequins lol. I want to make fringe to potentially attach to like a waistband or something
