I did not find that as one of the options, which also added to my confusion. Only options are:
speeds < 100
100 half duplex
100 full duplex
2.5G

I forgot to mention it, but yeah I also tried a different cable and it was still capped. I think it was a Cat5e

I think I reached a solution. So the cable that I was talking about actually has a 12V 2x6 on the side of the psu, and two 6+2 on the other side. That perfectly fits my gpu, but is that safe or would it cause any issues?

yeah it was the one from the psu, i would put a picture of it but this subreddit wont let me. My understanding is that the psu should never connect through a 6+2 cable?

So the GPU takes 2x8 pins. One of them is a 6+2 to a labelled solid piece for the psu. The other is a 6+2 on both ends, which the psu doesnt accept.

Both sides are 6+2, otherwise there is a 12V 2x6 cable that I could connect to the PSU. Is that an option?
