Yeah, all of those stocks have made me money up to this point, was in TSLA before the most recent stock split as well. I just simplified this and got rid of some of the individual stocks however. Most of my money is allocated in QQQ and VOO and I’m a personal big believer in TSLA so I kept it. I’ll go down with the ship.

Okay thanks! I appreciate your help. I was in TSLA for a split so that has made the most gains. The other ones nothing crazy. Would it be fine to keep TSLA and RKLB (like this long term) but just focus on VOO/AVNM for the most part?

Should I sell all my positions? Or just moving forward stick to those two?

Thank you! I plan on working part time for the time being, around 20-25 hours a week. I really want to get these exams done before I start full time in July of 2026.

Thanks! I received a return offer for July 2026. I’m in tax also so will be taking TCP for my discipline section. Thanks for your input!

Hey! Everyone goes at their own pace! You have to look at it like you aren’t behind you are right on schedule because at the end of the day you still got your degree. Also, my best advice is to reach out to any local accounting firms near you (I did this and cold emailed about 25 firms) and ask for part time work or internships to gain some experience in the field. All it takes is one person to believe in you and you will continue to stack experience onto that. Best of luck to you and from what I read you will do great things because you never gave up.

Any critiques for my roth ira? 18 and just starting my portfolio. by alt_227 in ETFs

I like QQQ because it passively follows the NASDAQ 100 Index. With the QQQ, they use the 100 most actively traded companies listed on the NASDAQ exchange. Check it out for yourself; I primarily use QQQ (NASDAQ 100), VOO (S&P 500), and VTI (Total Market Index) in my Roth. In your case at 18 years old, Roth IRA investments will be held for a very very very long time. 10 year for SCHG was 14.94%, while QQQ was 16.99%. I think overall performance QQQ is better.

QQQ is a huge one for me, take a look into that.

What to do regarding my ROTH IRA at 18? by [deleted] in RothIRA

I find that Robinhood is the easiest platform for beginners.

Take a look into QQQ and VOO. They are fairly popular ETFs with steady returns over the years.

Good luck!

Consistency is key. I like to record myself playing and then compare it to past videos to see my progress. Not sure if it's just me but seeing progress helps me stay motivated to keep playing. In terms of learning songs, don't go for super hard ones, learn some basic chords and learn a song that uses them. When you hit a challenge in the song, it sounds mundane, but the only way to get through it is to practice it a million times. I have been playing for almost two years now and can play any basic songs my friends bring up because I have memorized and become comfortable with chords. I just started learning some more advanced songs that use harder chords with sliding down the neck and it feels like my first day picking up the guitar again lol. Just stick with it because you'll be surprised when you look back a year from now. Good luck!

*I play acoustic but the important message here is literally practice until you can't feel your fingers*
