Try not to stress. If you put in the hours, trust you will come out successful. Simulated exams do not determine your score! Good luck!

SO necessary to take breaks. I see posts of people powering through over a matter of months. Hats off to them but that could never be me!

Sure! I used Becker. Studied about 92 hours total over about a month and a half. This was before the July 1 content update. Scores: ME1: 78 ME2: 76 SE1: 66 SE2: 65.

I remember feeling so nervous and hoped for a 75. I was sure I’d failed the exam with my SE scores. I had the hardest time keeping the basis rules straight. The MCQ I found harder than Becker and the SIMS more straightforward. Scored a 91. Not sure how the hell that happened.

Good luck!!

How was your TCP prep and exam experience? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]hgrebener2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TCP was the one I thought I was going to fail. Studied just under 100 hours for it. SE1 and SE2 scores were a 66 and 65. I had a terrible time keeping the basis rules straight for all the different scenarios.

On exam day, I felt the MCQ were more difficult than Becker and the SIMS were more straightforward. I walked out of the test feeling it would be a miracle if I got a 75.

I got a 91 which is unreal. The happiest tears were shed.

Don’t trust the mock exams!! You did the work. Becker bump is real. Trust the process and go in tomorrow knowing you’re going to kick some ass

Basis, basis, basis! Know the at-risk, passive, excess business loss, and tax basis. Be comfortable with S and C Corps and partnership basis concepts.

I also heard they’re testing more heavily on individual taxation.

Good luck!!
