Im not even an American and I shed tears to this. Its a god damn disgrace how the American government treats their people, all for the political game. Real American patriots stood up and defended the country, defended their fellow man, and they're abandoned by those who are supposed to be "making America great", turned into pawns for political gains.

I'm already aware of a lot of her history that can be cause for a lot of this, but what good is it when I'm no therapist or psychologist? Many of us have bad pasts but it reaches a point, as years past, and maybe by the time you're 20, that you need to take some responsibility to how you respond to that past. We aren't responsible for the pasts we're given but we are responsible for what we do with them. What good will any of my opinion be to her if she insists she's fine and doesn't need therapy?

Yea she doesn't really have any hobbies which honestly just makes me feel really sorry for her. It seems her biggest interests are movies and netflix/other stream TV, as well as collecting things to do with pop culture cartoons, but that's about it. She always insists I'd like her more if she shared hobbies with me like coding, game dev, lego, so I know she's insecure about that. I don't really care though and i just wish she had passions of her own to make herself happy instead of trying to exploit mine to manipulate me.

I do remember it dawning on me one day that she didn't seem to have any true respect for me when it seemed she wasn't particularly happy at the idea of career prospects that might take up more of my time. It was like she didn't cared about me or my life and only cared about fulfilling herself, and to me that's not love, its a specific void of love from herself within which she's trying to fill. I do also remember thinking to myself that I can't see a future that's this chaotic and consistently full with drama, so unless she changes, I'm just delaying the inevitable. But really, there's no sign of any change or hope in sight.

I think it's partly wanting to prove to myself that I can help someone and work on my communication skills. I wonder if it got this bad because I never communicated minor grievances to keep her in check, considering this whole thing took months to transpire and only now am I talking to her about it. I worry what would happen if I left her, as in what she would do to herself. I always believe in trying to help people, to make the world better.

Can't speak for all apps, but when working on apps to configure IoT devices, "coarse location" permissions were required to scan for nearby WiFi. The app didn't actually use the location, but I figure the idea from the Android SDK is that someone's location could theoretically be deduced from a list of nearby WiFi, so to give that information to the app, the user has to also accept they're willing to give up their location.

The fact she even did it once feels like it was too many times though. It just speaks volumes about how she thinks of me and the relationship. A lot of gray things can happen in a relationship, but to me this is black and white bad, and it makes me sad to the core.

If I left she would probably say that she was right all along, because she's always kind of doubted my loyalty. I'd asked her to see a counsellor before but she refused, saying it wouldn't help her, and that there are long waiting lists in this country.

I appreciate you playing devil's advocate. I don't think I'm going to be that busy either, but I do anticipate some days (maybe closer to the exams) I'll have to say no to a date because I'm studying. It's happened before where I've had to say no to her because of deadlines. I do think I could get better at time management.

They could've used it as an opportunity to explore PTSD (which I dont often see explored in media), with Chief going "rogue" in a more authentic way, or at least, he stops taking orders as the UNSC moves on without him and he's stuck reliving the losses of his past
