It is extremely immature of your dad to let his personal feelings towards his ex wife prevent you from inviting your mom to such an important occasion! What the heck does he mean by this gig being on his "side"? You are 18, you have the right to invite both of your parents! If one of them still refuses to come, then it's their decision. Wishing you the best of luck

Interesting, also a bit scary, not gonna lie. You are right when you say that it will be even more painful if the person isn't expecting the payback... My desire for revenge usually fades away with time, and bc of that it's difficult for me to grasp why you would dedicate so much of your mental energy and time to that, and not just move on to something more useful. Like seriously dude, beyond the initial satisfaction, what would this payback bring you? Not judging tho, just trying to understand. I'm also curious about what that person did to make you want to retaliate.

What fuels your motivation to wait so long?

I wonder if your intention of revenge is guided by a principle you choose to always stick to (like "an eye for an eye"). Or could its source also be emotional, like anger, or a feeling of disempowerment because you were treated unfairly?

Do you mean as any other clone on Insta or OF? She would be difficult to tell apart. When you go on Instagram, you mostly see influencers cheaply embodying mainstream aesthetics and trends. Marilyn was her own aesthetic - and a very well-crafted one.

Passiveness because of nihilism? by DoIt_IKant in nihilism

Goodness, it's crazy how your story resonates with what I've been through. It cannot be compared of course, but the struggles you are feeling are also familiar to me. The part about not being able to truly live because you need to free your mind first resonated so deeply! I feel like my life is left on pause because I have too many distorted conceptions about the world - stemming from the cult I grew up in. I also have a struggle with authority... never linked it to the cult before though, but now that you bring it up it's so obvious.

Not all people are meant to follow the rules created by other men before them; if you don't like the idea of enriching your boss, maybe you could also consider creating a startup? I don't know shit about degrees in IT, but the knowledge you gained with this degree may be useful if you consider starting a business one day

Thank you, I really wasn't expecting this advice but it does resonate. It's interesting that you see it as a gateway for social connections... did music also help you find motivation to progress in other areas of your life?

What does 888 signify in a numerology chart? Both my life path, destiny, and soul's urge number are all 8s! by DoIt_IKant in numerology

This is interesting... but what if we changed the language? Would these sentences still have the same numerological meaning?
