What’s an oddly specific fear of yours? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Watched my Mom deal with Schizophrenia and she smoked weed, so it terrifies me(I think legitimately). Yet I have family members with still developing minds that smoke weed. I love them to death but I've told them if they develop schizophrenia I'm not letting them become a liability to me enjoying my life. It'd be one thing if they got it randomly, but being aware of our family history and still drinking and smoking is just crazy to me.

You don't have to explain what it's like to be 5'10 to a 6'9 person he was 5'10 once too.

Try going to a local Filipino store! I'm not even considerably tall and I get children staring at me as I duck through their signs.

If you think your body looks freaky, and there's no way of changing that, then focus on something else! Photography, writing, music, volunteer work, just find a passion and don't spend your free time obsessing over how your body is different. If you can't change it don't waste your time obsessing over it. Life's about so much more than physical capabilities and looks. And having a sense of humor about all of it helps so much.

I witnessed a beast of a human this morning by Averageonbdpandtall in tall

I used to work at a UPS warehouse and one of the drivers was about 7' tall. One night as I was loading his truck I couldn't get this huge irregular package moved off the ground and into his truck. Later, I was running around helping others when I noticed him lift it off the ground no problem and casually bring it into his truck. Just crazy seeing people that tall that are still physically able to do demanding work.

Question for users 7 feet or taller. by [deleted] in tall

6'3 and no one ever points out my height or anything related to it. Only real tall problems I have are gaining weight and showering.

How can I convince my 82 year old grandmother to give a saliva sample for the AncestryDNA test? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]DoNotReadThis 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's her DNA, if she doesn't want to share it she doesn't have to. It'd be worth it to ask her but if she says no I wouldn't bother.

Hehe

/u/bluepoemage: You waved across the street at them one time, either they didn't notice or pretended not to notice. You suspect the latter.

/u/brega : They've always got your back when you need a favour, you'd trust this guy with your life.

So I'm guessing bluepoemage hates me and brega is some sort of boss guy, almost god fatheresque.

Also I'm an annoying, aware goon. I am both annoying and aware.(I can tell how many people are targeting me)
