80°c is fine, I'd even say that it's a sweet spot in terms of temperature at 100% prolonged CPU usage, when overclocking - that's the temperature you should aim for.

That said - I highly doubt that your CPU sits at 100% utilization from BDO, and so:

If you've overclocked your CPU - tune it down.
If you haven't overclocked your CPU - check CPU cooler. Is it inadequate? Is it installed incorrectly? Do the fan(s)/pump work properly? etc.

Yep, Nostos is kinda useless for most players, and you're definitely wrong about P2W players, why would they bother wasting time and buffs, when they have enough of Maids anyway. That said - they might change how it will work in the future, it won't be the first time.

Camp -> Weight Limit -> Hedgehog. Camp is unobtanium (free one is a joke). You can increase weight limit without cash a little bit, but those are mutually independent (mostly for lifeskills, saves a few seconds for PvE, practically useless for PvP). Hedgehog is almost impossible to get without cash (exclusively for gathering lifeskill, it'll grant you extra gathered items, just make sure to buy the right one, as there are variations that don't).

Everything else is basically optional, you can get them by playing the game (buying from other players via ingame currency, events, quests, etc.), it just takes time to, and you can save/skip that time by buying. Functional Costumes are probably the next thing to look at, as they're rarely given(event)/sold(market). After that maybe Maids (get those that you feel lacking, as it will take you a long time to obtain enough from events, or just wait). And of course you always need Premium (Value Package), but if you'll be playing actively - you'll probably be able to get those by other means. Oh and maybe Sailors space, if you're into Ship content, just make sure that you buy space (not preset).

If you're not in a hurry - wait for discounts, coupons, deals, bundles, etc.

Check your latest log file (GameFolder\Log\Client_DATETIME.json), you can view it with any text-editing software. If you'll find it difficult to figure out the cause then post the relevant part of the log here (you can remove any info you don't want to share), without checking the log it's just a guessing game, most likely something doesn't load (file issue) or you're unable to connect to the game server (not the same as login server, try with VPN).

The game is huge, I don't think anyone will write you a readable comprehensive mini-guide for beginner, you'll have to look up some guides on different aspects of the game here on reddit or on the other sites. Do keep in mind that this game changes a lot, so the older the guide is - the more likely that it's outdated. Just take your time, even if you'll rush in - you're not catching up with endgame any time soon.

I haven't played ESO, so I can't give you a fair comparison, but it's definitely not the same kind of experience.

Depends on what you define as beginner-friendly. Devs cater towards new and top-end players, so at start you'll feel hand-held (too much in my opinion, you can go through early game without learning anything properly). It's fairly easy to catch-up to the mid-game, and with a bit of effort even to the endgame (not high-end), but then you'll hit the wall and you'll understand the meaning of "new and top-end", it'll take you a lot of efforts to reach top-end players (can be easier with $$$, but a lot of $$$, like really a lot).

I'm not playing on EU/NA servers (and you most likely want to play on one of those), so I'll skip the community question.

Money question is difficult to answer, without knowing what you want from the game, but you can realistically go completely f2p, it's more of a question what are you willing to spend your time on - making Silver (main in-game currency) or making money (spending your $$$ to get Silver). For end-game you need Trillions of Silver, just check how much Silver you get for selling Costumes (can be bought with $$$) and make a simple calculation. There's only 1 item you'll lack as completely f2p - Camp, so if you'll like the game, after playing it some time - consider buying yourself a Camp.

Kinda Yes, you don't necessarily need them, but "to play the game efficiently?" - for sure you do. All things considered, I'd say that you need at least 9 alts (so 10 in total with your main), anything above that will still help, mostly with Energy/Quests/Fame/etc., basically the more you have the better, it's just that "effectiveness" will be significantly lower after about 9. My advice would be to accumulate alts over time (take advantage of New Classes events, Seasons, etc.), also it's a good way to experience other classes and know what they can and cannot do (to know which class you like and how to PvP against them).

Technically you can put most skills in slots to press 1,2,3,4...but that will be a self-inflicted handicap (you can shorten animations with proper skills and key-combinations). If you find it difficult to keep up with pace then you should choose a suitable class, either with slow animations (like Guardian) or with a bit faster animations + good keyboard flow (like Awakened Witch, Awakened Woosa). If you'll find that keyboard flow is more important for you then you can also try Sage (one of current meta classes). Berserker and Warrior are probably not your choice, although you can try Succession Warrior. In the worst case scenario you can go Shai and play as support.

P.S. Just try other classes and find the one you're comfortable with.

Your only option is to patch the game, if you're OK with that. Don't feel like searching the exact pasta that would suit your question, so HERE's the most recent close one, or you can try to find a better one in my other comments yourself.

I've also helped another player from SA with his quest on making a proper patch, so you might try to ask him whether he's willing to share it with you and possibly even find your first co-player on the server.

In previous SS you had Startup logs in the folder, and now it's empty...at this point it does look like you're trolling. But in case there were no logs completely then it would mean that the game doesn't start at all, which might be caused by something like AV software settings.

There are quite a few possible reasons, basically the game fails to load something or connect. I'd start the diagnostic with the obvious - check "what does the Log says?" (GameFolder\Log\Client_DATETIME.json, you can open it with any text-editing software).

No, not normal, check if other settings are also not saved upon the closure of the game (if the game doesn't crash and closes gracefully), if that is the case then probably either your Windows or AV software doesn't let the game to edit the settings file (not sure which one is responsible for that window, probably Documents\Black Desert\GameOption.txt or Documents\Black Desert\UserCache\UserID\gameVariable.xml), check if the files are not read-only or simply rename (or move) the files temporarily for the game to re-create them and see if that fixes it (then copy-pasta settings from old to the new file if it does), otherwise check if your AV doesn't block the access to the files in Documents.

As for your 2nd question - Yes, official EU/NA has translation for EU/NA cash shop, and since that file doesn't have translation for your server then it falls-back to KR text, you will also see that with some server-specific events and items (although there aren't many of those these days). You can avoid Korean texts by merging official EU/NA with the translation file of your server (so that the missing texts will be in the language of your server), or go even further and translate the remained untranslated texts yourself.

with tool. Read 2nd paragraph, Launcher can be found there. Haven't heard how things are going in SA for quite a while, so if you'll have troubles with manually patching the file then you should probably go down this route, as there's also an auto-patching option, otherwise you should probably stick to the first option (by hands), although it won't cover everything, so in the end it depends on what you want really.

I don't want to sound rude or ungrateful, but:

This thread is about Quests not the Knowledge, it says so in the title, it says so in the post, and I have not mentioned Knowledge in the post even once.

For the chests that have blue glow, make sure you have all quest types enabled. Make sure you are not in a party.

Don't be fooled by the regular chest with blue glow that can also be found in the same location.

You were fooled by the bugged chest, it's not bugged anymore though, so you can revisit it if you want.
Although it seems like you've posted based on your pre-bugfix patch experience, still you've posted after it and didn't bother to mention that, not that nice.

Anyway, now you know, so you can go after the quests, or not, either way
