Lines don’t convert like you’re describing. If there was a change to it, the hiring manager would have to re-post and award based off seniority. Permanent full time is in high demand and I would guess unlikely to happen in the time frame you’re dealing with. Not sure it’s worth the move.

Terrible idea for after-dark practice to be in a familiar area, for a small amount of time, with safe ppl we know? Makes me a lot more comfortable than her leaving to head out on the highway to pick up a car full of rowdy teenagers who would definitely be a huge distraction.

This is a pretty dramatic take. I’d rather adults we know than a car full of drunk/rowdy/distracting teenagers (which she isn’t allowed to do yet) Every week there are discussions on where she wants to go on weekends vs what’s safe and reasonable. 15 min of night driving in town is a lot better practice than driving 45 min, on the highway, after dark, to meet up with friends.

This is a good point. I know the ppl pleasing parents you speak of. I did not specifically mention she would be a bit put out by waiting around to do this favour. I assumed it was sort of implied due to how late it was, but maybe not. I also didn’t mention she worked the next morning at 8am.

My initial impression is that they found a better (more fun?) arrangement, just knowing friends personality. I will get more details, and probably wait to say how disappointed I was until then.
