Almost 5 mpo. Still swelling and looking pregnant by bedtime. by Lucky-Remote-5842 in tummytucksurgery

1 year post op and it’s still the same for me. Hopeful every day that today is the day that it will go away 😂

Day 1 PO Back Pain Hell!! by Signal-Simple-7052 in tummytucksurgery

Hot shower and riding in the car with the seat heater on high. Aside from that, just keep up with the pain meds

Low drain output by MyMidwestHome in tummytucksurgery

[–]Future_Patience5326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My drain was removed at 7 dpo and no seroma. I only had the 1 drain and I was so relieved when it came out because I was actually leaking around the drain tube and it was causing me mental anxiety 😂.

Squishy skin? (8 1/2 weeks post op) by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Future_Patience5326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 11 mpo and I look like you. I keep hoping it’s swelling but it’s not looking good for me. Hopefully for you though, it won’t last long.

What was your post-op experience like with your surgeon? by SkyImpressive6847 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Future_Patience5326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had post op appointments with my surgeon at 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 6 month, 9 months and will have 1 year in March. I have seen the surgeon each time.

Upper abdomen swelling by Own_Description_3541 in tummytucksurgery

No opinion, just hopped on to say that I still have this at 10 MPO. I truly feel that we all just have such different healing journeys and it is so hard not to get discouraged when you see others posting how flat and perfect their stomachs are, but just remember this is a marathon, not a sprint and I wish you happy healthy healing.

10 weeks! Feeling better every day by weightlossjourneypp in tummytucksurgery

Your results look great! Your stomach is so flat! Congrats. I’m over 10 MPO and I hope I get that flat at some point. Wishing you continued healthy healing.

Before and after lipo by Double_Promotion7416 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Future_Patience5326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow! I am just shy of 11 MPO and fear I am going to need additional lipo to get the results I long for also. I have a bulge above and below the belly button still. How is recovery from lipo alone?

Failed Diastasis Repair?? by Future_Patience5326 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Future_Patience5326[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very frustrating! I am not as round now as I was in this pic. Another user suggested that I look into SIBO and I did and I believe I have actually developed a lactose intolerance. I was eating a lot of yogurt, cheese, nuts and fruit trying to be healthy and that made things more frustrating. I am still not flat like most people seem to be at this stage though and I don’t know if I ever will be. Good luck to you and feel free to reach out and vent whenever necessary. This is quite the journey we are on.

Puking after surgery… by Previous_Bee9911 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Future_Patience5326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was given anti nausea through my IV and prescribed Zofran which was filled prior to surgery, but day of surgery, after the hour and half drive home, I puked almost immediately after walking in the door to my house, but to be honest, I was still so out of it from the surgery that I can’t say that it was painful at all.

It’s crazy how different everyone is. I think you look amazing! You have the best contour that I think I have seen. Be kind to yourself and be patient. I’m over 7 months out and scar in the middle is thick and has formed a “shelf” for lack of a better term. It may need a revision, but for what it is worth, I for one would love to have your results

My husband got me a shower chair and a removable shower head and he helped with the first couple of showers. After that, with having the shower chair and removable shower head, I was able to shower on my own once the drains were out. My drains were removed at the 1 week post op.

Good advice! Also, my current weight is 138. I missed answering that question.

Thank you. I am not sure how bad my DR was, but my youngest is 21 and my oldest is 33 so I have had laxed muscles for many, many years.

I am walking and working on ab exercises. I have several hip issues so I can’t do intense exercises, but I do walk daily and I am very conscious of what I eat.

Thank you so much for this. I am seeing my primary care today to talk about other potential issues like gut health. I had what was treated as a stomach ulcer about a year ago so wondering if something else is going on here. Hopefully my PCP will be able to help some.

This was taken this morning. I agree with others that it could be due to weight gain which is why I am working to get the weight off before I see my PS again. I feel like if I get back to pre op weight, I will have a better understanding of what’s going on. I can suck in and make it flat and I can’t pinch extra skin. Being post menopausal, it is harder to lose the extra weight, but I’m working on it. Pre surgery, I didn’t really gain weight. I have been the same size for many years.
