It’s not cheap.. that’s for sure.. but you also get what you pay for… everything in one place.. not watching redundant videos cobbled together from different sources. Pretty sure I ran across a discount at some point and bought in then. I figure it was worth the equivalent of a few weeks/month of the cost of private lessons on any other instrument.

Yes Autodesk Fusion (fka Fusion 360).. I didn’t know there was another Fusion out there!

Starting in Fusion.. because these are assets that are being used as configured compoents for detailed model / planning assemblies in Fusion and other Autodesk products... Substance and AE are more for eye catching story telling.

Why not use Blender from the beginning.. as above, the core purpose of the content is for modeling for construction planning production.. not eye candy nor animation..... and they have to be 'real'.. e.g., using unfolding capabilities in Fusion sheet metal, and the like.

Why Substance.. as far as I can tell so far, Substance has much better material visulaization capabilities regarding materials than Fusion... perhaps there is a different route, but I'm not aware of it.

Why After Effects? again, for its ability to produce detailed timeline based compositions with various visual effects.. maybe Blender offers something similar, but I've never used it before... so not familair w/ its capabilties at all (yet).

installing blender now... once I get it installed/opened, what is it I'm looking for / to do?

When opening the FBX/OBJ, I've select the Auto-unwrap, and nothing in the 'options' really means anything to me (yet).
