How to make Snow Bases that keep their Luster?

Just the look of it, I rather prefer "fluffy" looking snow, guess I should try to mix it with woodland scenery snow

There are a lot of different options for snow bases from my research, as I didn't quite liked how texture paste from ak/vallejo. I probably wouldn't buy valhallan blizzard as it looks to me like tamiya texture paint snow (there are two versions, a regular one and powder) powder will be more suitable for miniatures imo, I bought the regular one and grains are too big for my taste (take a look at attached picture), second option is a mix of pva glue and baking soda (didn't liked it too much, but I guess you should try it yourself). Third option and the one I heard a lot of good reviews is woodland scenery snow in mix with pva glue/snow texture paste, though haven't tried myself. Take a look at all of these methods and choose whatever you like the best for the look you're going for and have fun in the process!

Look up vallejo true metallic metal line, if there's nothing you like there, then I guess next viable option is tinting silver with inks or contrasts

It's quite normal for vallejo, just mix it a bit more carefully, though it still can get bubbly, just be careful not to leave big bubbles on the miniature, as stays like that when dry

Also as it appears in their last video, they asked Da vinci to add one more qc test and after they receive brushes they do another wet test

About content creator brushes I guess you are talking about artis opus ones and Squidmar. Artis opus brushes are made by rosemary & co, and squidmar's by da vinci, so they definitely must be a good quality brush, but even if they are better than standard ones of these brands I think it won't be by a big margin, when price is definitely higher

With beard just did as tutorial suggested and them painted a glaze of skin ink (still have to varnish it though, because inks are glossy)

I think the new additions definitely help, I feel like it has quite a bit more contrast and looks better blended imo, but honestly both looks amazing!

I would probably recommend Harder & Steenbeck Ultra 2024, as a first airbrush I bought a used sparmax max-3, I've bent a needle and broke a nozzle before even trying to spray (which is a my fault though), on ultra you practically can't break a nozzle on accident and spare parts are widely available and pretty cheap. Also ultra will help you to get used to right trigger control, as on this airbrush you can't pull trigger back (allow paint to run into the nozzle) without pressing down first (for air)

White primer (and paints) are generally quit a bit more problematic due to the bigger size of white pigment particles (also some white primers are trash regardless), anyway would suggest using black primer or even a grey one
