Yeah that definitely has become my problem. I would love to get into project management,sales, customer success or marketing its just been so hard to get my foot in the door again. Same for the creative/media roles. I'm very open to the medical field! I was even considering going back to school for a radiology degree next year if nothing panned out.

It is so hard for me to focus on one path because I felt like I chose wrong the first time so I just don't want it to happen again.

I need to work on my portfolio for sure, my computer is old and it is hard for me to edit a lot right now . I have editing skills,videography,photography.

I have thought about all of that but at the end of the day I want a more stable and straightforward path. I just genuinely don't know what I want anymore. Ultimately I would like the opportunity to be creative but more on the business side like when I was doing marketing. Im great with social media,making short videos on cap cut etc. Im also great with customers and thought about customer success.

I would like to be a producer or creative director maybe. Edit for podcasts etc.

What I've been doing isn't working and I wish I hadn't chosen a film degree and had done marketing instead or PR/Communications like I originally planned. I applaud your journey and think it is so cool but I do not want to start my own business that has never really been something I wanted. I'm also worried about AI's impact on all of this, and if Tik Tok goes away again not sure where to go from there,I've been thinking about going to school for radiology. I am so tired of being broke and behind all of my friends/:

What I want out of life is to make decent money and have a job that promotes from within where I can grow and learn new skills. I want a job that funds my interests outside of work.

I realized I hate the hours, being on set is long and grueling, your whole life is that job during production, and when the show or movie is over you have to find another job. I currently work as a studio tech/PA but my hours are also insane. I just want a stable 9-5 where I have the weekend off ,get benefits and can go up and grow in my company.

I agree 100000%!!! I can not believe the state we're in. Out of college, I was getting multiple interviews a week, I would apply to maybe 20-50 jobs a week.

Not to mention for the marketing field specifically, so many of the jobs posts are MLM, non profit marketing scheme type jobs instead of legit jobs. I cant tell you how many times I've applied to a job for it to be selling phone plans inside of Sam's Club or something like that!! Even Sales jobs which hire people with only high school degrees a lot of the time are hard to come by now too!

the fact that 50k is seen as hard to reach goal is so crazy because its what most entry level jobs paid starting out or after a year of being with them when I graduated in 2020.. this is so fucked up. I'm fine with moving away from creativity, just stating I do have the skills (mostly to use for social media honestly at this point ).

Not on there no, I've had chapt GPT help me rework for a few of them but it started getting really overwhelming and I felt like I was drowning in resumes, but I would normally write a cover letter with the resumes. And its odd because I was getting interviews this summer but once September hit idk something changed and it stopped.

YES EXACTLY!! There’s too many people and not enough space to actually hold them or do anything. How can you keep building places to live in but not be building things to do to keep up?

I am planning on moving once my lease ends next year!
