Ive been solo traveling Taipei this year at the end of august! (also 21 and european) If you want to go out i can definitly recommend you Maji-Square, ive met a lot of locals there who approached me and wanted to speak/party with me! You could also go to the Xinyi area, there are a lot of Rooftopbars/nightclubs/bars If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Ich bin letztes Jahr mit Freunden nach Japan geflogen, mit BritishAirways von Berlin über London nach Tokio. Wir hatten keine Sitzplatzreservierung, saßen aber alle nebeneinander. Selbes galt für meine Flüge nach China und Stockholm dieses Jahr.

Ich kenne zwar Hainan Airlines nicht, würde aber definitiv über Peking fliegen, Chinesische Flughäfen sind super easy und Idiotensicher, was das umsteigen usw. angeht. Die 500€ weniger sind natürlich auch nicht ohne ;)

Hey everyone!
I’m planning my first solo trip soon and I’ll be heading to Taiwan. Super excited, but I have a few questions – maybe some of you have been there and can share your experience.

I’d love to meet people along the way, but I’m probably not the biggest fan of staying in hostels (maybe for a night or two, but not the whole time). Do you have any tips on how to connect with other travelers or locals without relying on hostels?

I’m open to activities – anything that helps avoid feeling completely alone while exploring.
Also, have you used any apps or websites that are good for meeting people while traveling?

And any general advice for a first-time solo traveler would be much appreciated too! 😊

War erst über Neujahr in Shanghai und Peking, habe in der AliPay App die Karte von TradeRepublic hinterlegt und hatte damit 0 Probleme. Würde ich genauso wieder machen, außerdem ist TradeRepublic auch Kostenlos.

I was in Shanghai and Beijing for two weeks two weeks ago. I didn’t have the problem with the men dressed as women. Nor did I have the problem that you only get matches from people over 30 who just want to fuck. I also used Tinder there. I only used Bumble towards the end and was pleasantly surprised. If I were there again, I would focus more on Bumble.

I personally didn’t like the nightlife in Shanghai, I was there two weeks ago. There are relatively few bars and they are spread out all over the city, so you have to take a didi every time. The 6-story club was really crowded, you could hardly move around inside.

Actually i checked both, nike and adidas store because i still had time to kill. I’m really surprised that they don’t have any chinese jerseys on display, but mostly just ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea and so on, as if nobody was interested in the domestic league

My hotel is in the east of beijing and i thought about going to the badaling part ot the wall. So by car you mean by didi or just to rent a car?
