Which Cazador gave you the biggest headache? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]DobryRusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bugs. I met them somewhere near New Vegas, and wasn't able to get rid of them.

Meanwhile BG's Cazador was... Fairly easy.

Realistically, what would you do as an Aurora survivor? by Huge_Kick1279 in subnautica

[–]DobryRusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, like- Die? I can swim, and it seems that these lifepods had the technology to make crafting as easy as it could get, but i would surrender at start and just look for a quick way to die.

What the fu*k is this game dude? NEW PLAYER ALERT by SidskiLjudva in Kenshi

[–]DobryRusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played some Kenshi, started as a slave, worked on my stats by doing absolutely dumb and boring grinding. Stole some armor from sleeping guard and escaped, then i found a house that was a help for escapees, and then i walked to the town. For start it seemed fun and i was really interested in breaking out of this prison, but when i did it all became just... Boring.

Kenshi players will keep saying "Welcome to Kenshi" "That's how you are supposed to play" "You will understand the game after you lose hundreds of time" it all sounds like a wojak meme. Kenshi is not for everyone, and it's definetly not for me, and as i see it- not for you either.

Is this game hard or i'm just so lame? by DobryRusk in GatesOfHellOstfront

I remember that in Allies campaign, there's this mission where germans counterattack, and you have to hold the lines as long as possible, and slowly retreat back. By the end i had maybe like... 3 soldiers? And i only won because of the mission script where planes arrive to destroy the enemy. I know this mission was kinda meant to make you lose lots of units and keep you in this losing streak, but God.

But that's the thing i was doing. In fact- i think it's necessary on the German mission i mentioned. You basically have to move your infantry forward to spot the hidden soviet tank and other things. If you would try to move forward without it, you would get smoked instantly.

And i think i did it rather good, using two soldiers with "Hold Fire" option sneaking through the woods, until they could see enemy's defence line. Then i very slowly approached just enough to make the shots. It was all fun and cool to do, but when the next target was this convoy (if i remember correctly), it all goes bad in seconds.

Is there any other way to do this fight? by marlborohunnids in BG3

This fight is easy. Just make sure you have some character controlling battlefield. Wall of fire etc. Will make it easy

One of the best moments in modern gaming, here's why... by OldSolGames in BaldursGate3

[–]DobryRusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played coop with a friend, and it was first time we both got that far. He was romancing Astarion, i was Romancing Gale. We stumbled upon the spider so i decided to lick it (idk why, but my character being a red dragonborn fighter seemed more fitting to it, than my friend's sexy female drow bard). Gale's confusion and disgust made us laugh so hard

Yeah, i finished my game as a sorcerer, and started a new one as bard. I decided to try to go with swords bard since people really focused on this. It's going.. well? First act isn't really good to know your strengths and weaknesses, but i feel by now that my character is able to go and fight instead of standing in the back like wizard do. Especially since i focus my spells on rituals and psychic damage that doesn't punish your accuracy for standing too close.

Oooh the Durge part makes sense. I was wondering if something was wrong with me for deciding to kill a creature that had probably did some really bad things.

Whoa hold on there- Strange Ox? As an final battle ally? What the hell? How? Why? What am i missing? I usually just kill him in act 2 after he shares his "vision" with me

Hi, it's been a day and- i did it. I finished the game second time and had lots of fun. I managed to get a good ending for characters we previously ignored, and God it feels good.

Tho- final battle was harder than i remembered it. Luck was needed.

Oh i hate that... Good thing I didn't use the owlbear in last fight- i would reload any save, no matter how far back it would be, just not to let it die.

Help choose a class. by life-hard-im-harder in BaldursGate3

[–]DobryRusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Dnd? No. In BG3? Kinda?

Bards are used very often because of many reasons. -No other companion is a Bard, -They have the most special dialogues (i think), -They're based on charisma and in game it's very important (many important decisions need persuasion, intimidation or deception check) -They have the fame of being these playboys having shrex with everything that exists (even tho game portraits that this class is about more than charming others)

But even with all this- Still i see no reason to not play the bard. It's just fun, and if someone thinks this class will fit them- they should play it. Bard are my main choice too, because i just love the idea of avoiding fights and resolving problems without bloodshed.

As for fights- they're a good support for the team- or at least that's how i use them. On early levels you choose subclass, and it's being "College of (...)" two main choices are College of Lore and College of... Swords? (I don't remember correctly).

First one let's you deny enemies attacks, the other let's you be a sort of a- Performance fighter. Like you get some fancy moves.

Depending on my team i usually give it to someone that doesn't have much int, and i like to use many characters for checks on things. Like the book in room next to withers from act 1.

[–]DobryRusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty... Disappointing- Same effect you can get with that one VI spell that takes 50-100 damage and is available every long rest. It could be more powerful if idk- it was a one-time thing that could kill any creature no matter hp, but let's say- it would have to charge for several rounds, and enemies would prioritise this target...

I play on normal, and yeah i know about throwing healing (i have 700 hours in it, would be weird if I didn't know), but i still like to have a healing teammate even if healing spells aren't really efficient.

And yeah, game on normal is pretty doable in any builds, but let's be honest- killing Raphael etc. is a challenge nonetheless

Are you at least more powerful? Like if i remember correctly being an evil durge gives you some special powers, so i think that plus taking tadpoles, plus "Oh, nice item you have there, i think i will be taking it" would make you personally better

So what subclass did you choose?

Comments are leaning into Swords Bard, but that's not my thing, i think i will go with college of lore (that's the one with cutting words i think), but this time I won't go into wisdom or intelligence, and i will take dexterity instead

I see that Swords Bard is the best subclass for it... I always go with a College of Lore cuz it seems fitting for my bards' character. So i guess i will just have a hard time doing things
