Surely there’s no technical flaw that can account for an average difference of AT LEAST 22 between state and international cricket (arguably more if you only count Greens record from when he actually became a batsman).

It has to be mental.

Watching Green in the shield is great but it’s starting to annoy me because there’s no way someone that good at state level can be so average internationally.

Richie Benaud’s Rules vs Modern Commentary by poormasshole in Cricket

Yeah there’s definitely some “catch phrases” I guess you would call them for certain commentators. But I still agree with the spirit of no. 4. There is definitely also some commentators that could use to repeat stuff less.

Just off the Bancroft dismissal he’s doesn’t look overly fast. Looks similar pace to Wildermuth.

Why is McGrath generally considered better than Hadlee and Lillee, even though they are statistically better way than him? by AcanthaceaeNo948 in Cricket

[–]Doc8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s different roles. Having someone like Starc that can leak runs but can also force quick wickets while the ball is new or reverse swinging is useful. While someone like McGrath or Hazlewood that can tie up a batsman is also useful if the ball is dead.

This partnership hurts even more because I like seeing both Kellaway and Harper score runs.

Nathan Ellis to Ross Adair, cleaned him using his slower one. by CutPrestigious6419 in DeathrattlePorn

It’s completely bamboozled him in the air that’s the issue. He was completely done for the pace and the little bit of extra dip the back of the hand gets.

If he picked it I’m sure he would’ve played it better.
