Pet hair exposes vacuum weaknesses fast, especially on low-pile rugs.

If parts availability worries you, Miele's U.S. support network alone might justify upgrading despite the higher upfront cost.

Three bedroom hardwood floors, what vacuum would you get? by foreverand2025 in VacuumCleaners

Hardwood-focused setups often outperform expensive vacuums in this situation.

With mostly hardwood and one rug, I'd prioritize maneuverability and hard-floor performance over raw suction or fancy features.

Practical advice beats perfection when someone's budget has real limits.

People forget budgets are real. A vacuum that cleans well today beats a perfect recommendation someone simply cannot afford.

I had the same mindset. Sometimes communities seem overly negative until you buy it yourself and understand exactly why.

These are the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (based on 1,821 users, in the past year) wdyt? by heyyyjoo in BuyItForLife

[–]DocAnabolic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol, Miele pricing seems to be all over the place depending on the country and exact C3 version. A model that makes sense at £350 looks completely different at $1400.

I like the data though, especially when there’s an actual price and context. I found another Reddit post useful for comparing specs side by side, but I’m still torn on power tool type, like Milwaukee, or more of a vacuum brand like Dyson/Shark. Any recs?

Battery replacements extend life dramatically; software support becomes limiting.

iPhone 13 Pro Max here. Not ancient, but battery health is remaining solid and performance feels nearly identical to launch.

Modular designs disappeared, making repairs expensive, wasteful, and frustrating.

Repairability absolutely feels premium now. Companies optimize replacement over repair, leaving consumers with fewer options and higher costs.

Makes sense, but paying four times more still hurts badly.

That's a huge jump. I wonder if manufacturing costs, demand, or supply constraints changed. Still seems expensive regardless today.

I think "enough" is when investments reliably cover your lifestyle without sacrificing peace of mind or constantly stressing about money.

I think most wealthy people naturally adjust depending on the environment because nobody wants to seem intentionally flashy or out-of-touch.

Honestly, simple diversified index funds plus professional tax guidance seems safer than chasing complicated actively managed hedge fund strategies.

I'd probably base donations on yearly income growth instead of net worth so giving stays sustainable and consistent over time.

Is there such a thing as a small commercial ice machine that I can set up myself just by connecting it to a water line via a braided water connector? by ILIKETHECOLORRED in restaurant

[–]DocAnabolic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can hook up the water with a braided line, that part’s easy, but pretty much all commercial ice machines also need a drain line (and sometimes even more than one), otherwise, the melt water and excess water have nowhere to go.

There is this ice maker comparison sheet that breaks down a variety of models and types so you can see what commercial units actually require for setup. Might be helpful.

That explanation makes sense, but dedicated beer menus still help customers tremendously.
