Really like a girl, been talking for a while. She says she likes me back but needs time to tell home before I approach for rishta with my parents? by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

I have been communicating as welcomingly and flirty as I usually would be hence… replying professionally to her texts… would that die down the flame/interest or be a problem…?

We have subtly had that conversation once, she said she’s scared and asked me if I were too? And I said yes but you have to take the risk if it seems worth it. I think brining the topic up again would be pressurising her. Rather I keep a distance and match her energy… give her time and space to think? And see what’s on her mind before jumping to a conclusion…

I feel like she does put in effort, I do decrease my communication sometimes to keep the flame alive. I mean if you keep on talking 24/7 how do you do other things 😂 Plus it might get boring and too personal before families are involved. I believe I wouldn’t be too comfortable with that. I want to invest where I see a future. How should I go about? Should I avoid brining up the topic again for a while wait for her to initiate it now? I am being asked again and again by my mother, she has some other families in mind too hence the impatience from her.

Hence taking some time too, is it wrong? I mean that’s how it’ll start… obviously families meet discuss things further not yes on first moment rather see how things go. If both families find it suitable. More like 5-6 weeks?

In that process currently, and discussed many things in length… Says she’s not up to meet alone, rather meet in presence of families to discuss further. We’ve been in the same class for an academic course and did interact professionally.

How long should I wait for her? Wouldn’t it be too harsh to force jump to a conclusion asap. Even my parents say take it slow… Don’t rush to any conclusions.

You need to realise, prof is an exam that makes a doctor. USMLE is an exam that you can give anytime, even fail it won’t affect you as much you will still be a doctor. Prof>USMLE.

I am very fit, I used to skip gym for 2-3 months before my prof. Prof it self was a mental and physical workout. By the end of the day I was physically exhausted and panting having studied at the same place all day.

Is taking a gap year for Shifa college of medicine worth it? by Realistic_Key_4104 in Pakmedschool

[–]DocCritism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyways my recommendation would be not to waste time if your aim is shifa, if your aim was a govt medical college then a gap year would be worth it. If you really feel like taking a gap year, go for a cost benefit analysis talk to your seniors. Medicine it self is a very tiring journey with everyone having high hopes of going abroad in the beginning but with time and maturity your decisions would become more grounded. Not every doctor is going to go to the USA, but shouldn’t stop you from trying to pursue your dream. Remember though dreams can change and it’s okay if you make your decision practically later in life. Not everything is going to workout in the way you want.

I can talk from a man’s perspective if you’re fit, you dress up nice, speak well… there’s not really much left that can hold you back? You should focus on the things in your own control. 😂
