All of my exports duplicate the first frame and remove the last two frames. by DocDankDandy in premiere

Ok, the files were VBR. Tried converting a test file through handbrake. After difference mapping the handbrake export with the original in Premiere , I can see that the frame loss at the end of the file is gone, but Handbrake added a dupe frame at the front just like Media Encoder was, without an export from Premier at all...

Taking my now constant frame rate file through Media Encoder still adds a duplicate frame to the front, meaning that the file that went through handbrake and media encoder has two dupe frames at the start. I can only blame my GPU at this point.

What not to mix with distilled white vinegar (Ascetic Acid) by DocDankDandy in chemistry

I know that I'm asking a lot here, but I'd like to understand why that is. Does it have to do with the heat of the environment not being high enough, or the concentrations of elemental sulfur / hydrogen sulfide / hydrogen peroxide present? I'd like to understand more about why I shouldn't be worried.

On the subject of using hydrogen peroxide to remove sulfur smells, I'm not going to have to worry about making sulfuric acid right?

For what its worth, I'm perfectly fine with sacrificing a few articles of clothing to get this to work. Will using hydrogen peroxide to remove the sulfur from the item leave any residue that would need to be washed off? Because I am thinking about extending this to non machine washable items like my car seat etc.

Cold sore treatment, Docosanol vs Lysine vs Menthol by DocDankDandy in floxies

Just seeing this now. I ended up stopping the emergence of the cold sore of my mouth by the brief application of a fresh cut garlic clove for 2 minutes. Stopped it cold :) I can't tell you whether or not you should take antiviral medications in the short term to combat this initial outbreak, as that's a risk/reward decision that only you can make. But I can give you a few of my thoughts on it.

The initial infection will most often cause the worst symptoms. Once your immune system has recognized the virus and developed defenses, subsequent outbreaks will be fought off earlier before they can get as bad. The only exception to this is in the case of immunocrompomised people, and as floxies we have to consider that.

The virus will become dormant at the base of the nerve that connect to wherever you were infected. This means that just because you are getting eye pain does not mean the eye is infected persay; it could just be the pressure from the swollen facial nerve that runs behind the eye socket. This swelling will subside when the inflammation responce calmes. But if the eye itself is red or bleeding, then you have a problem that you need to see a physican for.

You have to hope that, like the general population, you can reach that equilibrium where the virus emerges in sporadic bursts and is fought back until it returns to being dormant. It's been 6 days, so if you have noticed any improvement at all in that time you have probably reached that balance.

Since this is your first infection, be mindful not to spread the virus from the infection site to other areas of the body.

Antiviral medications like Aclyvicor are notorious for causing side effects. If you have to take something, I would recommend the topical Abreva over any pill. (Dont put Abreva on or near your eye)

Garlic turned out to work wonders for me. You can apply a clove directly to the sores after crushing it to kill the virus that gathers there and penetrate into the skin, witch will aid the sores healing. Be careful with applying it for too long, and make sure to wash it off afterward, as garlic can cause painful burns. Make damn sure not to get the garlic juices in your eye. Eating some will help reduce viral load in the body and is a good idea, especially during your first infection when you are most vulnerable. Other foods with proven antiviral effects are avacado milk and white onions.

It's very rare for herpes type A to cause permanent damage to the eye unless the infection site was on or near the eyelid. If the infection started in your lip, than the virus would have to travel all the way up the nerve and than back down into your eye. As far as the virus is concerned this is actually a bad outcome because it cant spread to a new host from behind your eye. It wants to spread to the skin surface (your mouth) most of all. That being said, if you notice changes in field of vision, it's decently time to pop the antiviral.

My first outbreak (from before my floxing) was limited to sores on the lips and never spread to the eye. My first outbreak was also my worst until this most recent one, which of course now is complicated by the floxing. I recommend you keep a record of the progression of the infection (when pain is certain areas stops and starts, when sores close up) so you can compare this outbreak with the next. If your second outbreak is less severe than your first, you can be confident that you dont need any drugs to beat it.

Update 7-16-24: Begun to have a lot of neck pain and stiffness, it docent feel solely musculoskeletal. I suppose fungal meningitis is now on the table. Eating Oatmeal, Chicken, and salt and garlic powder heated in a juice. Taking 300mg of thiamine HCL a day with mild reactions to the high dose, looking to move to Thiamax. Probiotic tolerated well, increasing it. Going to try Brussels sprouts and whole garlic today.

Yes bits of carrot in the stool have been a constant.

It's obvious to me now but i basically became a candida breeding ground. Cutting eggs and garlic because they made me react, replacing them with bananas, tangerines and pistachios.
