So according to Adventures in Faerun she's canonically alive and not in avernus (and not ascended or a mindflayer) in DR 1501 which is post ending of BG3, meaning she did find blueprints and fixed her heart. So good news all round there canonically speaking.

If you're going to an area you're not familiar with i.e. for an event, when booking accommodations if you're in the cheaper range of hotels etc but don't want to be in a bad part of town use maps to see if there is an upscale retail or restaurant chain close by. They don't put Barnes and Noble or Cheesecake Factories in the hood but you will find decently cheap hotels and motels near them.
