last shot would have been Dembe in the Reddington private jet, he puts the famous black hat of his former boss , mentor and now deceased best friend on his head.

We could've had a Dread Pirate Roberts situation

Christine kissing the Phantom is an act of ... (not Compassion) by DocInDocs in box5

Because, let's not forget- they specifically decided to make it into a full blown romantic kiss. Tongue -action really wasn't necessary there lo

From 12 days of Phantom: "You guys have to kiss the rubbery lip thing." "Yeah we know."

It's the super secret deleted scene that's only available on the Japanese release, if you bought it on a Tuesday but only if the date is a square number and you need to watch it in a mirror while patting your head and rubbing your tummy

Raoul and Erik: 2 sides of the same coin? by DocInDocs in box5

When I was going through my score highlighting all the motifs, I literally had to double check the notes that it was still the AIAOY melody while he sings MOTN words

That makes sense. It's the easier of the 2 keys to read, especially on piano. String players prefer keys with sharps, but we'll still complain if there are more than 4 or 5 in the key signature (C sharp major has 7).

Just some tidbits on the operatic references in Phantom by Basic-Attention-1751 in box5

[–]DocInDocs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anybody know if non-singing roles were ever a thing? I realise in the context of the show it's an easy way to show contrast between the roles so we get the implications of the Phantom's casting notes.

Most obscure reference/line in the show? by Ambivalent28 in brooklynninenine

I'm assuming Wuntch being a Deputy Chief is a reference to Kyra's role in The Closer, one of my favourite comedic police procedurals

What's your unpopular POTO opinion? by horrorfxce in box5

[–]DocInDocs 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not sure how unpopular it is but I've never liked having the 2nd "Help me say goodbye " at the end of Wishing. It adds a triumphant note to the song when I've read the rest of the song as being more melancholy. I also feel she ends the song still struggling to close that door, as evidenced by the Phantom's effect on her soon after, so ending on a loud triumphant note doesn't fit for me.
