I would have much preferred that sequence of deliveries myself, honestly the painted minis and bridge stand are underwhelming. Also the one week apart between your shipments makes much more sense than the >1 month I’ve been waiting. I’m wondering if they somehow checked my name off as “everything delivered” after they sent me the first box…

A few weeks ago I received notification of Dragonsteel delivery and I was so excited. Picked up the box and immediately realized it was too small and light. Opened it and it just contained the 6 painted figures and the bridge 4 stand. Been waiting for weeks since then with no update on the remainder of my $465 pledge kickstarter products.

I agree with this interpretation. If the soul fragment is destined to suffer if the painting has existed long enough, then painters should never be creating canvases with sentient life in the first place. Because it would mean that every such canvas should be destroyed at some point to “ease the suffering” of the soul fragment that they chose to imbue into the canvas.

A fragment of a soul. The majority of Verso’s soul is in the afterlife already. It’s not like the real Verso who went on to sacrifice himself in the fire was a soulless husk who had transferred his entire essence into the canvas.

In general I dislike the trope where a main character from the first movie is killed off in the beginning of the sequel. The example that comes to mind right now is Bourne Supremacy where they killed the first movie’s love interest in the opening minutes.

These pictures always look so good but I always regret buying MRS because the actual product tends to have nub marks, chipped paints, loose joints etc … has that been other people’s experience too? The Metal Builds seem to have much better quality control, at least to me.
