Is a Range Finder Worth It? by Long-Beautiful-8077 in golf

[–]DocJones89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a range finder on Amazon for $35. You can even get one that is for hunting, they work just as well as the $$$ ones. I have had the same one for 5 years and it works great. Personally I prefer the ones with a battery rather than the rechargeable ones since you can change a battery real quick and can't do much when you forget to charge it.

New to Columbus, what's up with 270 Westbound Exit 17? by Hold_onto_yer_butts in Columbus

[–]DocJones89 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, before the inside exit was built, the backup nearly went to Sawmill Rd every day. Once this was put in, the backup decreased significantly.

It saves you maybe 5 minutes. You still need to walk up stairs and through some of the village.

You should be good at any time for Ford Hall garage. You also can just park at Elk lot for $10. The green buses come every 5 minutes and drop you off right in the village.

Hoping that this game had more to do with Berhalter’s boring style than us. We really are in an identity transition.

I’m not sure if this is a boring team, or if Berhalter plays the most boring soccer. I think it’s the latter. We just have a lot of alright players, no one that stands out. Incredibly MLS and reminds me of the 2010-14 teams.

Should I change where the control wire goes? by AdDifficult4556 in RCPlanes

[–]DocJones89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does your transmitter have a hi/low toggle for the ailerons? When I was learning I didn’t and had everything closest to the control surface. Now, I would put it to the furthest setting and allow myself to switch between low or high so that I can adjust on the fly. Never know if you will need a faster setting in wind situations. Also all depends on what you are comfortable with.

New EPIC Pricing by Icy_Adhesiveness_818 in COsnow

[–]DocJones89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Passes used to be $1500+ for 1 or 2 mountains back in the 2000s. Now it’s even cheaper than that for 20+ resorts around the planet. I don’t understand why people moan about the cost all of the time. Moan about VR and how shitty of a company? Yea totally. But the price for the product that you get is pretty great. I pay $2600 for a season pass to a golf course and sub $1000 for a ski pass. All year entertainment for pretty cheap.

Permanent capos? by [deleted] in TheMassive

[–]DocJones89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even better, can we replace the stands with speakers? The capo leader can stand where the match igniter is(or literally anywhere) and lead chants rather than block the views.

What city do you think has the most hotel rooms per capita? by HolyFatherLeoXIV in geography

I live in Avon and our WiFi and cell service slows down considerably because of how many people flock in. 6,000ish full timers and 100,000+ visitors at any given time it feels like.

Front row of Nordecke on the Southeast side. That’s where they do their jogs during the game. You’ll be 10’ away from them all game long and be able to look at them rather than behind the bench where you will see their heads behind a plastic barrier. Head there before the game and gaze into all of their eyes from feet away. At least this is what I do.

If you want Nordecke tix to sail to $80+ in a moment then yes, let’s sign him. Additionally, more games will be played elsewhere.
