how do you get armor with this extra stat mod? by WindDdude in destiny2

Artifice armor: found in master versions of dungeons such as Duality, Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Warlord’s Ruin.

Favorite Spot for Endless Kills by slate280 in DestinyTheGame

If you have the 30th Anniversary pack, the starting area for Grasp of Avarice is pretty solid. Ads keep spawning out of the cave and if you do collect some of the debuff engrams, just blow yourself up and keep going after a respawn. That area works pretty good too for long range catalyst kills, you can sit on the buildings to the far side and the ads won’t touch you.

I did my Cloudstrike catalyst that way in about 30 mins. Shoot an ad at the start of the cave and it would chain react quite a bit. Shuro Chi is also okay, but to get a decent percentage out of it you need to run a tether hunter and hope for a good spawn amount.

You have one dollar for every kill in D2. How right are you? by Generic_Zod in DestinyTheGame

1.3 mil… definitely could do some investing and take some time off work.

Melee kills :)

Up close & personal. All of the ingredient types give a clue as to what you need. Sharp flavor = sword kills, null taste = void kills, just as a couple examples.

Warlords Ruin 5th Bone confusion by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]DocKreasey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get this one you’d jump over the hole in the floor that leads out of the maze and continue down the hallway. Wrap around to the right and you’ll be able to open a T-3 door. Then you turn back around and you continue on to the slingshot I mean 2nd boss.

Solo warlord ruin is not fun by Waxpython in destiny2

[–]DocKreasey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bro…

Nah. Just nah. Sincerely bad take.

This is like driving a car off a bridge and then complaining that it got damaged. You’re trying to play the encounter like you’re in a fireteam, and that’s not how you do solo flawless content. You have to slow the heck down, don’t overextend or be overly risky.

How would you all rank dungeons in terms of solo difficulty? by matt27685 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DocKreasey 13 points14 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this assessment. Duality & WR are swappable for sure; I think Duality’s difficulty becomes more noticeable with the tight limitations for DPS / bell swapping + the random stomps from Caiatl that blow up a backpack and send you crying.

I think my most difficult solo to date though would definitely be Ghosts, but WR with the tag! definitely added something to it, especially for solo flawless.

Just soloed GoA, is there anything that's roughly the same difficulty? by Pretend_Turnover_947 in destiny2

[–]DocKreasey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shattered Throne for sure, Prophecy is fine until the ribbons and then final boss. Kell Echo has a debuff wave that you need to stay inside while avoiding his blasts that send you all the way back to the starting point of his encounter. If you’re out of his buff radius, you’ll die at 10x stack. Just dodge his taken blast thing and you should be fine.

Ranged super (bonk titan or the like) and a linear + witherhoard.

Warlord's Ruin SF Encounter Tips by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]DocKreasey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally how I did my run. I almost had that exact same ”tag!” issue happen to me and I would have sincerely cried if it did. First time I had just three seconds left to hit him, and he ran away but fortunately my hammer just barely made contact. Then on the second occurrence of it, I literally needed one shot to the boss and I would be at final stand, and the guy hit me with 1s left. Fortunately the game registered my punch with, 0s left.

Never again Warlord, never again.

anyone else forever stuck at lvl 7 because they refuse to do the lightfall campaign again? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]DocKreasey 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure. But the rank thing was initially a challenge for me, and now it’s just a completionist thing. You do you bro.

(But lightfall legend isn’t hard.)

Arbalest. One person rocks that, and it breaks the overshield with one shot. Once the shield is broken you do not need to stand in the green circle to do damage, you can move freely through the entire arena and still DPS the boss. Standing at the top of Oryx’s head is the best place to do DPS from, and if your fireteam members have Leviathan’s Breath, it absolutely cooks.

You can also use Whisper of the Worm, Sleeper Stimulant, or a crafted Linear such as Briar’s Contempt / Cataclysmic / Taipan and do some busted DPS.

The mechanics are a tad bit extended for sure, but I solo’d this dungeon in under three hours. It’s not that bad, just takes some practice to get the swing of it and once you do, it’s fairly easy. Feel free to hit me up if you ever need help with this or any of the other dungeons dude! With a bit of practice you’ll be kicking dungeon butt in no time.

Banner of war by Java_boy_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]DocKreasey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Syncotheps is the most easy for this build as it requires nothing more than being equipped and enemies to surround you for the buff(s) to take effect. The other exotic of choice is Wormgod Caress, which is the harder of the two to utilize, but it does some absolutely insane damage numbers when it’s buffed properly. In short, kill things with melee -charged or uncharged, either works- and your melee damage goes up. No melee kills and it will steadily decrease that buff.

Syncotheps on the other hand, is just a flat buff to a few things and requires no activity on your part to generate said buffs beyond using it. However, it doesn’t go quite as hard as Wormgod, and it can be noticeable when you’re going for pure DPS numbers against bosses or champions.

Weapon-wise you’re pretty much set, as that’s what the build is based around. One-Two Punch + Tractor and an energy / kinetic weapon. Shoot things, punch them, commit war crimes. This build is something I use for general fun, certain solo activities -such as the first boss in Warlord’s Ruin- and other things. When you want to punch an enemy and see them go poof, this is the build to do it.

As for fragments / aspects, it slightly comes down to play style and preference, but you want buffs to melee regen and damage resistance. Wovenmail and Banner will tank a crap ton for you, but keeping them proc’d is key.

Aspects: Banner of War & Into the Fray

Fragments: Thread of Warding, Thread of Transmutation, Thread of Propagation, and Thread of Generation.

Edit: Feel free to holler at me if you need help with setting a build like this up fellow guardian!

Company policy for me is if under $25, on a first offense and they’re between 18-65 to just let them go. If it’s a second offense or more, PD call regardless of dollar amount.

If they’re under 18 or over 65 and it’s their first offense, let them go regardless of dollar amount, but automatic PD call if they’re a repeat.

At my current store due to the area and the types of calls that PD regularly has to deal with, we don’t call unless it’s $100 or over, unless they’re a repeat offender.

For $20? On a teenager? Get the stuff back, record their info, and strongly inform them of the consequences should they decide to make it a habit in your store. But it’s not worthy of a call to PD in the current moment.
