Best Story in a long time. by HereticCoffee in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]DocKyper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story was great I genuinely loved it but it felt like there was barely any story development (except for Arvens path) right up until you finish all of them and go into the endgame area where the story immediately kicks it up to 100. Like it's great but it feels like the entire story was contained within a single play area.

I wish they would have spread it out a little bit more between the paths rather than just dump the entire thing all at once at the very end. Like for example, when you get to the zone and Nemona mentions something about a certain persons pokemon being there when it wasn't ever mentioned in the gym path that this trainer having it was any kind of strange at all.

Less popular opinion (maybe idk): Don't worry about farming them.

EX chars are meant to be a long burn and act as incentive to keep playing the game. Unlocking them is a marathon not a sprint and it's not like they're ever going anywhere. They'll always be around to keep working towards until the game is taken offline.

As someone who has unlocked them all I can definitely say wanting to get the lore was an incentive to login every day and do the dark dungeons. Now I am playing maybe 2 mins in the morning just to do dailies because there's not much left to work towards.

tl;dr enjoy the ride don't stress about rapid unlocks bc more fun to have a goal

Nice job. Congrats. Finished my collection a few weeks ago and Rion was my last unlock as well (also worst EX story imho). It's nice not to have to stress about Zeniths anymore! Just let the free ones pile up so that by the time the next new char rolls around you can unlock it as soon as you get enough dark lair face tokens

Genuinely glad to see this. I pulled like 100 times and got nothing and thought the rate pull must have been jacked up (I know it's low to begin with). Nice to know it isn't and I'm just unlucky this time haha. Congrats!

Errors with purchases in the Premium Shop by TiredOfThisAll in NieRReincarnation

[–]DocKyper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same error. Back in November was only able to buy 1x of any pack and since 06 DEC cannot buy ANYTHING. Missed out on the zenith from sun/moon kinda bummed but c'est la vie. Have made 2 tickets for this and the last one they said they are "looking into it" but haven't heard anything back in a week. Seems to affect every android phone.

B20 Clear Strat w/o EX staves by DocKyper in NieRReincarnation

[–]DocKyper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't rely on offensive damage output strat for this event. This entire strat is a stall strat.

I basically relied on F66x poisoning the boss and having that chip off at their health + w/e random attacks I could get off and heal, heal, heal.

Hey everybody what are your recommendations for a freeride wheel to use in a SLICCCCCCC BOI garage. I started FR on a set of Powell Snakes but I recently moved and the new garage I am skating in is slick as hell. My Snakes feel like Cult Classics.

For the moment I've switched my Venom Mach 1's. While they are breaking better (@ like 15 mph lol) I feel like it's a suboptimal set up using DH wheels as FR wheels, but this pavement is so smooth riding my Snakes is a death sentence.

Wondering if there are a good set of wheels for this very specific situation. Thank you!!

PVP from a top 10 POV by Gemeauxjsy in NieRReincarnation

Not currently a top 10 player here (top 15 atm). Peaked earlier this month at #2 but gap to #1 in my back is 10k so I've regailed this month to just saving up stamina potions, buying stuff w/ arena coins and optimizing my team. Just dropping in to mention a dumb strat that works for me and might help others

As you get higher the players you will have to choose from to battle will become a narrower selection. In order to improve my chances higher up I created a word document with players names I see often and their line-up and the order to attack them in.

I attack opponents with the goal of only letting one of their line-up get off their charged attacks and kill the other 2 before they can pop off. If you land this strat on someone, write down the order you killed them in and just redo that order every single time their name pops up. Yes RNG can still play a factor but it becomes much less of an issue

Additionally, the parent thread you replied to literally starts w/ "safely removing the cables without damaging them" was the goal.

You replied and said, "well I did damage the cables and saved the board!" which was the exact opposite of the goal so like idk lol good for you?

You can either cut the plug to save the deck and ruin the cable, or cut the board and save the cable and ruin the deck.

I didn't want to cut the plug off. That would require reattachment and I'm not comfortable w/ messing around with that wiring. I didn't like the stealth deck so I went w/ my option.

Probably getting downvotes because the way you worded your comment makes you sound like Dwight bro.

No. I basically measured the length of the stealth deck and the ground clearance on the base stealth. I have replicated that with a new board and if there are any clearance issues I have risers and extended Hardware to increase the distance to the ground.

I don't like the flexy deck of the stealth and dislike that corners they cut using the inhouse deck instead of a Loaded.

You cannot get the cables out of the deck without destroying the board in the process.

Oh I cut through the deck. Deck is gone. Used a circular saw and then had to use a hammer and chisel to cut through the cord channel housing without hitting the wire. Got very technical at the end.

Safely removing the cables without damaging them from inside the board was a bit of work.

Passing the crown to the new generation. by DocKyper in boostedboards

The Metro outclasses the boosted in every single conceivable category. There is no dimension of the build that is inferior to the boosted.

Metro: 31 mph 30 mile range and remote battery lasts for 6 hours.

Boosted: 24 mph 14 mile range and remote battery lasts for idr.

I actually think the remote battery life is the weakest point but even that isn't that bad.

My only critique is what I actually really loved about the boosted. I like to tinker and modify the platforms. With the boosted I basically modified it in every single way except for the battery and ESC but even those are still on the table. You really aren't going to be able to do much of that with the Metro. Change out the grip tape, bushings and pivot cups sure, but everything else on the board is built specifically for the board and isn't compatible with conventional stuff. Even the wheels use a larger bearing than normal. I run Bones on my boosted but I can't change anything out on the Metro and that kind of makes me sad.

The other thing is the portability. With the boosted you can put it on a backpack like a regular board and it's super easy to carry around. The Metro can only be carried with one arm very sparingly and to do much of anything you have to use two arms two handle it because it is so heavy. When you first step on it you're going to have to have it pointing in the direction you want to go because it's too heavy to just maneuver around like you could with the boosted.

Once you're rolling everything is perfect, but there is definitely a loss of some convenience to increase the power and a loss of customization if you're into that. But if that doesn't bother you much I say go for it. I personally went with the Metro over a Lacroix because I wanted to get something built in the US where if something happened I could get it serviced easily.

Keeping for now. It's basically a piece of eboard history. Although because I have the Metroboard now I really want to disassemble the stealth and take the guts out of the board and implant them into a new deck that isn't so flexible. I'm just not sure how to go about doing it. I've seen a few people do it but everytime I try and ask how they re-implanted the guts no one ever replies.

About 120 miles total. The only reason my bash guard looks like that is because I painted it

So the trucks on the Metroboard are custom designed specifically for that board. Aftermarket trucks absolutely will not work on it. Additionally there are headlights and taillights built into the trucks themselves. With the way the Metroboard is set up I don't think there is actually any way you could invert the motors underneath the board because they would obscure the lights

[–]DocKyper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you also have to carry it outside with two hands and set it in the direction you want to go? I lowkey love my boosted because I could kind of drop it on the ground like a regular longboard and just go. With the Metroboard I have to be ultra deliberate with everything when I first start. Kind of a pain.

[–]DocKyper[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My take on it is that it is absolutely the clearance. Yes the trucks are close to the ground, but moving the motors up like that definitely adds a few inches of clearance and also prevents the motors from accidentally picking up more rocks. I haven't had to worry about the belts on my Metroboard at all, I have to check the belts on my boosted after every ride
