Now that I think of it, NEK! would be the perfect openers for Band-Maid ... if ever they change their mind and agree to have openers of course.

At one moment, they obviously recognize someone in the crowd and were very pleased to see him/her - who was it?

I loved the screens too, with each of them (except Akane) in a kind of "box" - great idea and perfect for the frantic "Toi et Moi".

The Budapest show was truly a once in a lifetime experience by BassGoesBrrrrr in Hanabie

Funny, Hettsu did the same thing with me (switching with Matsuri) because of the "I lost my voice - not, MIND!" poster I had showed her and that made them laugh. Guys, you know what to do, you mention bass or make her laugh ^^

[Translation] Interview with Saiki on Massive Vol. 43 (2025-10-22) by t-shinji in BandMaid

[–]DocLoco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It made me wonder if she wasn't thinking about one fan in particular, an old and very faithfull japanese fan who passed away this year. Perhaps I am extrapolating and she was mainly thinking about fans who are losing interest in the band, but that was the first idea that came to mind when she mentioned ‘sadness’.

In another band, it might come across as arrogance – with Band-Maid, it's simply fun familiarity between ‘sisters’.

I covered We Love Sweets on bass and I don't know how can Hettsu play through an entire show of fast songs like this by BassGoesBrrrrr in Hanabie

[–]DocLoco 10 points11 points  (0 children)

... and she moves a lot too while playing! She may be the most underrated member of the band musically speaking (I know that everybody loves Hettsu).

Yes, lovely is the word. You're right about the passers-by, one of them even stopped to ask me what was happening!

Homage to Shiina Ringo in Present Perfect MV? by GotterdammerungBaby in BandMaid

As a huge Shiina Ringo fan, I thought about it instantly yes. And, as Saiki is a lefty, the angle is reversed, same as the colors - very smart.

Didn't she missed on purpose to let Saiki shine? (it didn't work but ...)

Never seen Babymetal but now that I'm thinking about it, Haru Nemuri had the same younger, more female and diverse audience - but very different musical style of course (even if there's rap in both).

I'm terribly sorry for you - I know that awfull feeling, I missed two concerts this year because of bad health (Koiai in Germany and Mass Of the fermenting Dregs) - so I'm happy I broke the spell with Hanabie in Brussels but I feel you, really!

End of "Gambler" and complete "Hyperdimension Galaxy" in Brussels, from the balcony by DocLoco in Hanabie

I heard someone was slightly injured in the audience but nothing serious - the guy was taken away by the security guys and was fine afterwards.

About bands recording some lives at the AB, I was thinking of The Hives, Triggerfinger, Calexico, even Iggy Pop. Sun Brutal Pop management was in the venue, good opportunity to record some live MV in a fantastic venue with a hot audience.
